A bit odd

hope

Its a bit odd really. A friend of mine has att wireless, and has lots of dropped calls, spotty reception, and major problems all together. He plans to switch to a different service when his contract is up. He has an LG phone, through att. I have att, live not more than a mile from him, and have a Nokia phone, not through att, that I bought in Asia. I never have any dropped calls, and have decent reception almost everywhere I go in the bay area. I think that the hand phone is a huge part to decent service. Almost as much as the service provider. Though, I have to say, hand phone service in asia is far better than here in the states, by any stateside serive provider, and I've had them all.

antenna on all lg phones is suspect. your friend would be better served by the network with a better device. nokia, whether from here or abroad, makes a great phone and always have. siemens too. at the stores we call the lg a boomerang because of its inability to stay sold. its a new brand for attws and so far it's not generating any positive feedback from sales or customers. if he's had phone less than 30 days he should change device. if longer than 30 days he should buy a refurbished nokia 3100, 3595, 6200. he'll be alot happier like you are. clearly its the device, not the network.
