Just heard it on CNN today, they're watching the stocks of both AT&T Wireless and Cingular... AT&T Wireless is going to make a statement responding to Cingulars statements they are looking to merge with AWS.

Too bad you guys who hate us went to Cingular, we may be one company soon. 😁

If both ATTWS and Cingular are bad companies, then what consists of a good company?

Over here in Detroit my AT&T phone works everywhere I go personally. My mothers 3360 (Regional Plan) works up north where VZW, Sprint, Any GSM company, and NexTel don't.

Every company has their faults, but to say that both AWS and Cingular are bad companies simply shows how little you know.

well then over here in California it must be a completely different story because their service in California sucks. You can BARELY manage a call in your own local calling area without being dropped every 2 to 3 seconds regardless of whether you have their TDMA or their GSM and Cingular is the same for California as well. That's where ATTWS lost their biggest market to the Local Number Portability... some hundred something thousand customers left ATT in California the first week LNP was available.

LOL. How funny you think this... because it isn't true. Please do show me the source you used for this information... did phonescoop say this? Did wireless weekly say this? Or did you just guess that since, and I'm guessing here, you switched that that counts as "some hundred thousand"?

I've been to California and the service is not terrible like everyone complains about.

Well, I don't know where you are at but, I travel from Sacramento to Los Angeles every weekend and have no problems. It's too bad that your ph/service isn't working and I have 1 acct. with gsm and 1 with tdma....so I have no clue what you are referring to. 😕

Well I will put my 2 cents in this one.. My G/F works for a market research company that basically has to type out phone surveys given to cingular and bellsouth customers.. she says 90% of the serveys are negative. and they are always upset over billing problems, and the level of customer service, and coverage..

This is with every wireless provider dude. Cell phones are rated just in front of nuclear weapons as the most favored technology, according to another poll, I forgot when it was done but it was on the Discovery Channel. 😛

My proof is I have to listen to HER complain every night about all the people who complain about cingular and bellsouth... She doesn't DO the surveys, she transcribes them.. If you don't know what that is, she has to listen to a recording of the survey and then type out every word that is said during the survey, except for the curse would, she has to edit those.
