We all understand that you prefer Sprint over Verizon. That is just fine. I honestly prefer Verizon Wireless over cingular, but that is my opnion. You may or may not be right on the "Sprint has a bigger footprint that verizon wireless thing". Sprint roams just as much as verizon wireless does if not more, but there is one big difference between them. Sprint has a roaming policy and Verizon Wireless does not. We may indeed roam more like you said.................but we do not have to worry about getting cancelled three months down the road for excessive roaming. So, as long as we(people with verizon wireless) have service or are roaming and are able to make calls I dont think anyone really gives a ****.

As for footprint and all that jibberish... The true king is Cingular which easily trumps both Sprint and VZW.
As for the Sprints network I'm confused. Somebody please explain this to me. A couple of years back I was looking into different coverage because Sprint does have a very good voice network here in Phoenix and I was looking at their coverage maps and it was really really lacking. It really only coverage roads and cities. Now I look at Sprint's maps and its like covering all of the nation but when I look closer at the map I still see the same network in dark green, with a massive light green area.

As for the pager/cellphone comparison, my point is everyone who is defending Verizon's pricing says that it's worth paying extra because they're so "reiable", and I'm saying that cellular service in generalis anything but reliable.
How can something be called reliable that has tons of dead and "no service" areas? if you werewaiting on an organ transplant, or had a sick family member at home who needed to get in touch with you at a moment's notice, wherever you wee, would you really trust that Verizon cellphone you carry?
