When will Verizon release their new PTT service. They only have like one or two phones righ now and the service sucks. Please does anyone know when or if it will be even done? I would like to have the PTT feature on my phone because when I was on Nextel I used it alot.

Actually I think the service is quite good. I have a company that recently switched from Nextel and say it's a lot better.
As for new phones... who knows. It would be nice.

I would hope that the new PTT service will be available for all phones, including ones already sold as an upgrade. One of the things that has made Nextel PTT so popular, besides the less-than-a-second connections, is that every nextel phone is PTT enabled.

Are you crazy? Verizon's PPT sevice runs on a horrible platform! That is why they never promote it anymore. You must work for Verizon.

Verizon will probably re-launch (3rd times a charm) PTT when the EVDO Rev A Network is built out in more markets.
