So, theoretically, this would mean that just as in the case of Sprint, if you are texting under the pay-per-text (no plan) then you can cancel your contract due to Verizon breaching via material change in rates?

He would want to leave because Verizon sucks! Their service cost too much. They don't let you do anything. Only people that have no understanding of wireless phones and how to use them stay with Verizon.

I can roam for free on Verizon's network for both voice and data anytime I want! So there will never be a need to go back to Verizon's horrible, child like service.

You are definitely able to. I have had many customers already do it through customer care. It just takes a bunch of b*tching.

This has got to be the most bogus reason to try to get out of a contract. Pony up the 5 bucks and get 250 messages. People go out and expect cell companies to sell them phones for free or next to nothing and then bitch and try to get out of the contract. All carriers gove you 15-30 days to try their services, if you go past that then honor the agreement.

I'm not saying it's right, hell I work for Sprint and I was up in arms about it when custs were cancelling because of the text increase. But all I'm saying is it IS in fact possible to do with enough whining (as long as you have not paid a bill since the change was announced) if you want to do it that bad. πŸ˜•

I just want any customers reading this to be informed about their options intead of having the verizon kool-aid force fed to them. πŸ‘€

Where do you get your $5 from? Its $10 for the entry level package and with the way textmessaging goes on that phone I'll spend more than I should have to for less than a hundred a month. Verizon's text plans suck unless you're "in". For what's its worth, it all sucks. The phone isn't mine, its my girlfriend's and they want off Verizon because they're paying 25% more than they would be any other carrier because of a employee discount.
That isn't the point. I was just inquiring as to the legality of a loophole that would let her stop having to pay an extra $500 a year on a stupid cell phone.
Thanks for not being an jerk...

allright i'm real tired of these threads but the BS about cell comp. give yøu 15 days to try there service has NOTHING to do with ANYTHING! If they give you 15 days to try service at a certain price, 15 days go by lock you in a contract then jack the price up. What weight does the 15 argument carry? NONE. Stop with your threats VZW cuz you don't scare anyone you just sound like fools.

stfu. everyone knows its going up. if you dont like it then add a txt block, add a txt plan, or call up and fight with customer care about how you think you should be let out of your contract.

either way stop posting old ass news
