does anyone else like having their ipod and cell phone seperate? like i said to my freinds. jesus if i lose my iphone, i lose everything..my ipod,cell phone, 👿 pda...

aside from that i loathe cingular..[i did have them and reception and customer service? verizon wins hands down.]

i do think it will be AWESOME to see the competing products veriozn launches in response as well as other compannies.

sprint,verizon, t-mobile...vs. cingular?

let the war product battle begin!

I had an ipod it broke their goes $300+ dollars I then bought the Samsung MP3 and I love it. IPhone is big deal because its giving Cingy, tmoblie and other companies a free haha towards verizon owners and workers. But lets be honest the IPhone has some draw backs. Is it perfect no, is it bring Verizon customers to Cingy of course not! Most customers are not going to pay an early termination fee just to get an Iphone, and when they get the Iphone and service is bad they have to pay another termination for get out of cingy. On that matter I every excited on some new phones that Verizon is going to carry very soon. Yes its no Iphone but hey its looks very cool 😎

Well, it will be 2009 before they ever talk about doing it, and unless Verizon changes their "We don't actually like to do tech work so we have a Universal UI", then Jobs and Apple are NEVER going to allow it, it was one of his stipulations when finding a network to put his phone on...and after 2 1/2 years of having Verizon and T-Mobile, more Verizon than TMobile, I am back at Cingular, so I guess I am on a sub par network huh?lol

That's a big problem for business users. The iPhone won't make a dent in the PDA market without decent broadband.

considering our edge is actually still pretty quick running at just a little above half of your fastest data EVDO I would say it's still pretty quick and if they happen to release it on 3g we'll just blow you away Please at least know what your talking about before posting

Well i have a freind named jesus. He lives down the street from moses. right next door to david and the virgin mary.

Um that shows a complete sign of stupidity. It is a figure of speech. Like jesus that scared me. or jesus thats due today. Or in your case jesus i'm stupid

I have cingular and I never drop calls. Your broad generalization is a poor one.

😈
um yeah but that was MY experience with cingular..and i doubt it's a "broad" one when over 8 freinds of mine all who live in varying areas had the SAME problem. if you want to be a cingular cheelader go ahead. if you had good coverage god bless. but just cause you did does'nt mean EVERYONE DID! therefore negating you post :}

his post makes sense to me. when he wrote the post, he should have said in my area. that makes sense instead of making a BROAD generalization b/c i and all of my friends dont have the problems that you and turbo have or had. cingy is the best here in the texas from my experience. i had vz (you can keep it), sprint (you can keep), nextel (complete trash here in Houston), tmobile is great (have them as well).

For the most part, Cingular does drop calls. My go phone(Moto V235 is decent so far); but my 700w hasn't dropped a call & never will.

dropped calls are mostly from limitations of towers able to handle the amount of calls. CDMA are more prone to this then GSM. As GSM has a limit of how many calls per tower they can handle and won't accept anymore. CDMA don't have a limit. Well not a hard limit and the more calls the more the signal deteriorates. until its unable to hold a call.
