what u guys think???????
I want your opinion on the phones that i am considering to get next week.
I am keeping my eye on LG 8300, 8600 and samsung a930 (as 990 being too costly for me)
I have earlier asked this question on the 8600 forum but didn't get enough replies. This might provide a better platform
the features i m interested in are:
good speaker phone, games (3D), mp3 capabilities, ability to assign custom ringtones (mp3), speaker quality and music quality, reception, durability, comfort and feel.
Please voice ur opinion and let me know.
I am already plannin to leave 8600 out... but still not finalised
thanx in advance.......
excellent speakerphone(only drawback is the phone must be open to use) Samsung not as loud
2.Games, vcast games kick ass on all the vcast phones(I like tiger woods golf) The display seems a little bigger on the 8300(might just be me, I don't have the samsung in front of me right now, but i can say the keypad feels better on the 8300(helps when playing)
3.Mp3 capability, with the new software the 8300 is capable of this out of box!
4. Custom ringtones, just send your own through mms messaging on the 8300, just cut a mp3 down to like 30seconds and 350kb(search 8300 forum for further instruction, very easy)
because of the dual speakers on the 8300 it has the best music playback sound of any phone I ha...

buttons were too small
the batt didn't last long even with charging it every night and I only had the phone for about 2 1/2 months
the menu options were non responsive at times taking it a couple of seconds to catch up with itself
The UI made it harder to navigate in the sense that you couldn't use the icons with the number assigned to them, which with icons makes it quicker to navigate.
The speaker phone on mine wasn't as loud as everyone said theirs was
You couldn't close the phone with speakerphone on.
Horrible front display, hard to see.
screen was small for VZ navigator
and what I don't get in regards to the UI is that they had the option of Flash, Silv...

does anyone had the same problem with menu options being non responsive at times??
may be u got a crappy set ??u might me one in hundreds
and what I don't get in regards to the UI is that they had the option of Flash, Silver spin, and a few others, now what I dont get is that why can't you just have the manufacturers UI on the other brand of phones since you are already putting on numerous ones already, that doesnt make any sense.
They did, LG made the Standard UI, so this is the UI that come with the 8300 with or without VZW request to make it Standard.
You don't wanna get something that can't even last a full day without needing a charge
does 8300 last 1 day easily with say 1-2 hr of calling, 1 hr of games and may be 1-2 hrs of music...
any one???
does anyone have a better suggestion in terms of phone???
so which phones should i look for then.. i dont want to loose any of the functionalities i want ..
will cingular be a better option then???
Check out the Nokia 6315. That seems to have the best battery life for a non-PDA Verizon phone.
I have the 8300, use the mp3 player for about 2 hours a day and talk for about an hour a day and charge it every 2-3 nights, it is generally regarded the best phone Verizon has out and that backs up my thoughts 100%, I have sold 100's of the model so far and have never had even a SINGLE person come back in unhappy with it.

LG VX8300 will meet/exceed all you requirements it's a highly recommended phone by VZW and the Customer Reviews are good too, go to the 8300 area and read the reviews/forum
