Question

If you add a data package to your account can you just cancel it anytime you want? or are you committed to paying on it through a two year contract?

I hope this question isn't asked daily and won't make you people mad, just trying to figure out which service is best for me.

Thanks

a data contract on a PDA like the moto Q or on a regular handset with "mobile web"?

if you are talking about just a regular phone, an internet plan can go on and off whenever you want. no contract extensions needed.

if get just data plan as add on to minute plan.then can cancel at anytime. but if get the plans that they call core plans, which is voice/data. then you get set up on 2 year contract. so as long as you just get the 44.99 data plan, you can cancel anytime.

Thank you but just so I'm very clear here, lets say I just initially just sign up for a two line voice only family plan, then down the road I decide I want to try out the data, how would this work? would I just need to buy a PDA at full retail and then just add the data? and then if i understand you correctly I could cancel that anytime?

you can cancel at anytime. i think right know actually verizon is offering one month free. so take advantage of that in that time you should know if you want to keep it or not. if you get it with a plan you can cancel at any time
