About 8 months ago I was going to switch from Alltel to Verizon, but after seeing that every phone had the same UI and it was slow and crappy, I decided not to! Instead I got the Nokia 6255i and it has the best UI on earth! IT is soo easy even an old granny could use it! I just love it! I would switch to verizon except for the UI! I laugh at my friend who is on her 4th 5200 LG because the UI freezes and then crashes the phone! The worst problem I have had with my 6255i is that I accidently scratched it! OOOH! 😲 😳 so there ya go improve it or remove it!

i agree. If VZW's going to put a standard UI for the convience of them, at least have a stable, attractive, user friendly UI. ps...

Verizon is a big company with thousands of subscribers. Do you really think they give a **** that few don't like its IU. They will do what they want and you will like it.

Your an idiot... The verizon UI is based off of LGs. The 5200 isnt crashing because of the UI its crashing due to it a: being screwed up by your friend trying to load their own stuff on there using bitpim or b: It is just not a solid lg phone in general. I have used a 7000,v325,8000,8100,8300, and the 9800 and all of them work much faster than the e815, or even the nokias without the standard UI. The ONLY phones I have seen have issues with the new interface are samsungs. They are a little laggy. All in all I htink it is a good idea to have the interface be standard. People don't like having to learn a whole new phone when they upgrade. I have gotten alot of other companies customers BECAUSE of the interface. Someone would have to really be ...

Why is it that the only people that defend Verizon are people that work for them.

THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I GET A NEW PHONE, because it was nothing like the last one. I don't mind learning a new phone, and I doubt others really do either. Why in the world would I want to get a phone with the same menu options as the phone before, especially when they are lame and slow?

NOTE TO SALESMEN, WE REALLY DON'T CARE TO HEAR YOUR BIAS.

They defend them because they are allot more of an authority on what people by than a single person and their friends. I know a little more about what the demands are than some guy thinking what he wants is what everyone else wants. They are putting flash menus in the phone to let people change their menus a little more to their liking. My bias comes from putting over 20000 minutes a month on my phone and not having any of them hold up as well as the lgs.. that happen to have the vzwui in them. Maybe if the majority of the morons that bought the phones would read their manuals and stop wasting the call centers time asking where to find the ringers they wouldn't have to put a standard interface in the phones.

Well I think it is equally as moronic asking why do the menus all look the same and being told "that it is easier for customers to learn a phone when they get a new one" when I ask a Verizon Retail store. I do know that most people do not buy phones full retail, so it is going to be 2 years before they get a new phone anyways.

And great yes I expressed my opinion on a matter, guess what, its MY OPINION. Like I said earlier you act like I am attacking Verizon Dogma.

Yes that is why I am cancelling my service with Verizon, because I WANT TO. Should you care? HELL NO!

And its this type of attitude that is not attracting me to think "wow maybe I should stay, so I can deal with more Verizon pricks", lol. You are just sales people yo...

I own a construction company with 6 trucks in the field with each a cell phone. 5 or more years ago when we would bounce from Moto to LG or Nokia's it was a HUGE problem having interface changes. Still even though Verizon has tried to keep the interfaces the same, you still run into moto's way of doing things when you get past the first menu screen. I for one appreciate what Verizon is doing considering trying to teach 6 men new tricks is NOT in my best interest.. 🤭

Well..Would you like to pay a BMW sticker price for a toyota? If yes, then I would like to sell you mine for that price. In the end, they both drive!!

The point is VZW is selling phones for $200+ with exactly the same interface / functionality found on a free phone. There should be a distinction!

The company I work for gives the consumers what they pay for..

I never said everyone feels the same way as I do, man you Verizon People are soooooo touchy. You would have thought I insulted or slept with your mom.

Its not so much the bugs I am concerned with, I don't like the phone I bought recently the same menu and application set up wise as the one I had before it. Its boring and plain, and yes that is just my opinion, and your attitude on our "biases" just makes me not like ya'll even more. "We never stop working for you" well I guess that is easy to do when you never started.

I think all the phone companies have their problems. I have tried two so far and going to number 3, and when I am expressing my opinion on here, I don't want to hear some lame Verizon sales rep going, "well that is j...

Good return the d... phone.. VZW reps are not touchy btw, just tried of B.... so if you choose not to exercise your rights, within the time frame quite blaiming/complaining about it.. Wireless service is no different than hey you have a water, cable, electric bill. Quit your b...., dont like it please by all means move on, find another company...We don't beg!! Don't know any company that does though TMo will offer you a new phone sometines to stay, but hey they have a reason also.. Go back to school and please spend alittle more time on your studies, one would belive that is more important than a cell phones ui..

people who have changed cell carriers 3 or more times are never going to be completely happy. There will always be something they don't like about one carrier or the other.

Its like the old dial up INTERNET service days. People would have new email addresses every 6 months, looking for that perfect ISP.

You just have to find what meets your needs, stick with it long enough to appreciate what it can do for you. But how can you expect it to change just for you?

Seems the people that want the very best service and equipment for the very cheapest price are going to be unhappy. There is something out there for everybody. But why trash talk a company that isn't custom made for you? Just move on.

Well schlittertex,

Guess you may need to hit the road and ask the over 54 Million people why they have Verizon Wireless if you want an answer.... Has to be a reason, won't you think???????????? Because a VZW rep didn't k.. y...a...and give you your way, dont't make a company bad now does it?? 54 MILLION people could not possible ALL be wrong.

Note to schlittertx,
I dont work in a store, but I am quite sure the rep's in the store don't care to your claim about them being bias, etc... So, hey move on....See how much T-Mobile cares to listen to your b..... Cause one thing I do know, T-Mobile reps CAN hang up on you for being rude, where as VZW reps cannont! Please go, people like you make it bad for the GOOD customers.

No offense but some people obviously need to spend more time on their lives than the ui on a cell phone! There are way, way more important things can't imagine spending my time thinking about that! Every phone comes with a return policy , if you keep beyond that time it then becames your own lack of responsibility so who you gonna blame!! 😎

What are you really upset about? Cause VZW doesn't beg you to stay? Once again some cost more than the worth, effects everyone..VZW is/has a product, if you personally don't like it, knock your lights out, friend! Find a company that serves your purpose.

I agree with you to a certain extent. Yes the user interface sucks butt. I think that the user should have the freedom to use the standard menu/UI of the phone. I think is jacked up that they impose themselves to you that way when it comes to using a UI that maybe you are not comfortable with for example, I hate those damn red bars.

As a network/coverage they totally rock tho!
PLEASE VERIZON!! STOP IMPOSING THAT UI TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND GET RID OF THOSE DAMN RED BARS ON EVERY ONE OF YOUR PHONES. you need to realize that your customers are individuals and should have the freedom to customize their phones any way they please.
Thats just my 2 cents.
