Actually if you look over at the 9800 forums they are saying that if your phone has ver. 5 that it will support a 2gb mini sd many people were getting the 2gb card for thier 9800 once the ver 5 software was released

Here is one. My V3M has either a scratch a hair line crack on the screen... hard to tell. Is this covered if I bring it in to tech support?

What do you mean by tech support? Motorola "tech support will repair it for a price, ussally $25-$50, Verizon will call it customer abuse and not replace it, however I had a customer come in that actually sat on his v3m and cracked the LCD and Verizon repaced it for free, so the answer is "it depends on the individual person"

Try running it through Super C thats what I did,

http://www.erightsoft.net/Superdc.html »

It will let you chose the quality of the music which will make it shorter

TWO Questions

1) Is it true that if i have an IN messaging plan, flix/pix sending still incurs airtime regardless of if the person receiving it is a Verizon wireless customer or not?

2) If i am three-waying two other verizon users, will i incur regular airtime rather than IN minutes?

thanks!

Number 1 is true, number 2 is false. Nof if you have a vcast pack, number on eis also false because that's unlimited data airtime...

1. Thats true, Pix messaging will use 1-2 minutes of airtime while it is sending regardless of who you are sending it to. IN calling does not apply to MMS. If you have Vcast you get Unlimited airtime for picture/flix messaging.

2. No, IN calling would apply on both active lines.

Correct, however I am confused myself on something.

I have seen people, with the 1000 or 1500 text package, use all the messages or close to them, and be on the 450 minute plan and not go over, does anybody have an idea how come? I myself use about 1000 messages a month, and seldom use more then 600 daytime minutes.

If Little Johnny was using up 1000-2000 messages a month, which commonly happens, why does he not go over on his minutes?

pictures charge airtime, texts do not. If you sent 1000 picture messages, then you'd get overage. So don't

Ok not trying to start anything really here. Just I thought you get unlimited in text and pics. That would kind of suck if you send a lot of pictures. And that really doesn't fall under unlimited. My cousin got verizon in NJ and I think he is under the impression its unlimited.

Well technically it is unlimited, your not being charged for the messages, just the airtime accrued in sending them, I dont know the other carriers policies on this. I would suspect that some of them charge the same and others dont, however I agree that airtime shouildnt be charged for sending them,

Alltell was the same. they charge airtime for all data. One reason I didn't like them. Sprint doesn't charge any airtime on anything except voice if you have unlimited vision and text. I dunno about the others had them before text was avaiable.

Don't take that as sprint is better. Me and my wife send anywere of 500 to 1000 pics as I am away alot and like to see my kids. I wouldn't be able to talk if they charged me airtime for all them.

The only way around the airtime is by adding the vcast vpack for $15 per month and that will give you unlimited airtime for those pix messages, mobile web, get it now, & vcast.

I have a V3C that I got from the V710 Lawsuit and since I have gotton it, I have had nonstop issues with the Bluetooth, going through 7 headsets of many different styles and manufacturers. Finally since none has worked as well as when i had the 710, i brought it to verizon, and they replaced the phone. The new one is the same or worse. The issue is even when the phone is less then 3 feet away, phone on hip in case and headset on ear on same side...static and totally losing signal...Now on replacement #2 in 1 week.

Anything you can sugggest and how many times will they replace it until I may get to choose another phone...The techs keep verifying it and not having any explanation. I like the phone but NEED TO HAVE THIS WORKING....NJ HAS a l...

One tip when using bluetooth that might help, is to make sure that if you have your bluetooth headset in your right to have the phone on your right side of the body! give that a try might or might not work for ya 🙂

I am a tech at Verizon, you might want to check your software version. If you have a V3c and you have software version 02 or 03 there were alot of problems with signal, battery, bluetooth, & slow menus. Version 04 fixed alot of those problems.

Hopefully this helps,
Thanks,
Chris
