OK WELL I GOT A SAMSUNG A930 ON THE 12TH OF THIS MONTH THEN AFTER A LONG PROCESS I WAS ABLE TO EXCHANGED IT ON THE 15TH BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO MAKE CALLS, BUT NOT RECEIVE THEM FROM CERTAIN NUMBERS. WELL TODAY IS THE 30TH AND I FOUND OUT JUST ABOUT 50 MINUTES AGO THAT THE SAME PROBLEM IS HAPPENING. I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND OUT 60 MINUTES AGO BECAUSE THEN I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE THE CALL TO THE VERIZON STORE TELLING THEM WHAT WAS HAPPENING BUT I WASNT ABLE TO BECAUSE THEY CLOSE AT NINE. SO I WANTED TO ASK ALL YOU EMPLOYEES OUT THERE IF YOU THINK THAT VERIZON WOULD STILL LET ME EXCHANGE THE PHONE?????????

VZW has a 30 day DOA policy. If you are having trouble then take it in tomorrow first thing. They should swap it out for a new one in a box NOT a FRU. Just be nice and explain your situation they will be happy to help you.

OKAY THATS WHAT I WAS PLANNING ON DOING. HOPEFULLY I DO GET A NEW ONE BECAUSE THE ONE THAT I HAVE RIGHT NOW I DONT THINK IS A NEW ONE I THINK ITS A FRU (IF THE DEFETION OF A FRU IS A PHONE THAT WAS USED BY SOMEONE ELSE AND THEY RETURNED IT FOR WHATEVER REASON AND I WAS THE UNLUCKY CUSTOMER WHO GOT IT) BECAUSE WHEN I CHECKED THE CALL HISTORY (WHICH WAS THE FIRST THING I DID AS SOON AS I GOT THE PHONE)IT SAID IT THAT PHONE HAD ALREADY MADE 51 CALLS!

I doubt you have a 930 fru. We haven't gotten any frus for it or the 8300s yet. And besides if you took it back 2 days after you bought it, they woulndn't swap you into a fru phone. If its within the 30 days you get a new one.

Please don't use all caps when typing posts. Also, this is not an emergency so chill.

if you took it back under the WFG and got a phone that had 51 calls on it, thats a problem. like said before we have a 30 day exchange for DOA phones, so they should switch it out to a new one out of the box.

😳 👀 must have got it from an agent store!! 👀 😳

Hey Johny Caps Lock, that sounds like a system error not a phone error. So your phone will not take only certain phone numbers? Did you port your number in? Did you upgrade? Or are you a new customer, new number. I might try changing my phone number if that is the case or call tech support. The phone does not just decide to block a few phone numbers and allow others. If it is always the same people that cannot get through it might not be the phone. Just an thought.

Ok
-Yes ive upgraded numerous times at least 5 or more. That works for about a day i dont want to keep upgrading every other day.
-I did get a phone that already had 51 calls, so if it starts to do it again ill go and ask nicely for a new one and make sure it is brand new.
-No im not a new customer, i got this phone off a NE2 upgrade. Is it possible that it could be the system error?? Would changing my number really fix it? I dont want to have to do that unless its my last option.
...
WEll, if you have had that number then the chances of a system error just decreased because I doubt your old phone did that. I would still give tech support a shot and see if they can check your account and system and make sure there is not something funky screwing things up. It is just odd that it only does it on certain numbers and both phones had the same issue, that is a rare problem and have two different phones duplicate it is like winning the lottery, that is the only reason i suggest contacting customer care and see if you can get transfered up to tech support.

Ok next time i go to the verizon store i will let them know what youve said and see if its possible for them to contact the tech support to see if there is anything strange about it.
...
I have seen peoples phone snot accept cetain numbers. To be exact we had an issue where i am at a while back where some phones could not receive any calls from altel cell phones. Don't ask me why didn't really understandd it myself but tech support did something for about 8-10 people and it fixed the issue, it was something in the switch blocking certain exchanges from coming through. Just a thought, Like I said it is weird to have two seperate phones block certain numbers, that is not a common issue and chance of getting two that do that is odd.

Thanks a lot for your help ill make them contact tech support just so they can check things out.

I don't think that's a problem with your phone... the people who are calling you that can't get through, have then dial *67 then your number see if that helps. If so, that will be a good temp fix
