2.99 100 text messages per month and 0.10 per message over or there is a 5.00 250 message per month then 0.10 for text over. also you can keep track of the text on the phone by dialing #3282 and send free text or online at the my account. oh yeah when adding a pack on mid month you get prorates not the full allowance since not paying for the full month make sure to ask rep when calling in

Thank you very much. I would assume that even though it is a family plan, the text messages are specific only to her line and if my wife wanted it she would also have to add the it?

When did they bring back the $2.99 for 100 messages??? In our Market Illinois/Wisconsin Region, and in the Kansas/Missouri region, they pulled the plug on that package. You may want to check with your local dealer/distributor to verify what is available in your sales market.

Satch do you work for verizon wireless? if so what department and region?

the 2.99 100 txt only (pix/flix were .25c each) has been phased out it is no longer offered and no longer available.

the lowest plan is the 5$ 250 MSG (txt pix and flix combined) with .10c overage rate after the 250 regardless of what type of message it is.

you can not get the 100 txt message bundle anymore. sorry but the 5$ one is your best bet.

Thought so. Ok well 5 dollars is reasonable for that. So she would be able to send/receive text or pictures as part of that plan?
Sounds good to me.
Thanks

yep any combination of txt, pix, and flix messages up to 250 a month wtihout paying a thing but your 5$. and any thing over that, regardless if its a short txt or a 15 second movie clip is just .10c.

you can monitor your usage with #data airtime free for the handset, and you can monitor her usage remotely at verizonwireless.com sign into the my account and check her number out. if you need more messages Unlimited IN msg bundles are avail starting at 10$ a month (UNL IN MSG/500 out of network MSG a month)

LOL thanks. I look at the usage because I hate going over..
Her friends all of a sudden got bitten by the text craze and now it is all over the place.
In all fairness and respect to her, I offered it up as a suggestion and she said she would like it added to the account.
The bill closes on the 7th of July and so far she has used 36 text (in and out).
The 5 dollar plan will work out nicely for her.

I will also tell her about the # data thing that I was familiar with but will tell her about it.

I have a separate business account on the 4000 minute plan so I feel compelled to call everyone... 😉

Hi,
I just got off the phone with VZW at 1 800 922-0204 and they said they are currently not offering that package and that the only one available was the $10.00 plan for unlimited IN additional 500 other messages.
Am I being "told the truth"?

$5 250/mesg is the cheapest plan. (west area).
There is too much mis-info on this thread. Yes, a rep can still see/add the $2.99 100 txt feature in the billing system, but this expired in Feb. 2006 and reps should not be adding/offering it to customers.

Problem is, reps don't read about our current products, and will just offer/add expired features because they can.

$5 250
$10 in 500
$15 in 1000
$20 in 2500... our your choices.

Billing sytem even shows $25 in 4000, but it's not offered (yet?)

So how can I get past the reps who insist it is no longer ofered? I'm getting the impression the only want to sell me the 10 dollar plan but I will not do that because either the 2.99 or the 5.00 plan is plenty of messages for my daughter.
Any suggestions?
Help.....lol

Just because a feature is available in the system, doesn't mean you can put it on someone's account though. There's a ton of features I'm sure customers would LOVE to have that are in there but they aren't offered anymore. I won't even post what they are called or I'll eventually get someone asking about it.

My car CAN go 160 on the freeway but I'm not allowed. Just because it's possible, doesn't make it right.

So? I could add it to every account I pulled but again, just because it's in the list of available features, doesn't mean it's available for customers. Why don't you start adding free roaming and longdistance to local plans too? How about free pda access for everyone? There's a ton of stuff available to add that is not a "valid" feature.
...
MidnightDT

Jun 28, 2006, 1:16 AM
you are not supposed to add it, furthermore you are screwing yourself becuase you get a dollar(thats right big bucks) for adding data plans and the 2.99 isnt a valid data plan.

I'm a north east employee.. the 100 txt is still available and so is the 250 option. you shouldn't even have to go into the store just call your local store and they will add it. features do not affect contracts not sure why national told you its not available. I'm positive if you call they will add it as its quick to do and helps our data percentage
