why does it seem that verizon picks the most ugly phones? i am sure it does wonders for their business 🙄 . why don't they switch to GSM anyways, thats what all the best-seller phones use. CDMA may be reliable, but it seems like a waste for such a good company to have the crappiest phone selection.

People always bash Verizon Wireless of having crappy phones. Sprint isn't much better, and USCC & Alltel typically have even crappier phones, and if they get a phone that Verizon already has, they typically get it much later than Verizon does. Alltel was the exception at beating Verizon at releasing the Motorola Razr V3c.

Sprint shows you CAN have a much nicer phones selection on a cdma network. Sprint has some hella sweet phones coming down the pipeline, and all the poor verizon customers only have the lg 8300 pos to look forward too. major pathetic with that flash ui, very cheesy and sad.

i cant speak for the OP but he understands verizon is a good company, and he expects a better selection of handsets. its not asking to much imo, verizon needs to get on the ball in this dept,their selection of feature rich phones are just pathetic.

It is stupid to suggest that VZW scrap the largest and most reliable network in the US.

As stated in similar posts previously, Verizon is not interested in being the trendiest company with the trendiest phones. Typically because the "trend seekers" are not loyal to one company and in return would cause a high churn rate. Every time another company comes out with a "cooler" phone the "trend seeker" will go to that company to get it. Verizon is focused more on high end business users that could care less about how "cool" or "trendy" the phone is. Therefore making customer retention the ultimate goal.

My wife has LG5200.....even too fancy for her, never uses the camera. Most everything else is a total waste to her. I'd bet a large number of cell phone users think the same way.
I have Razr and tend to like more gadgetry than she does, but as time goes on care less and less about it once the novelty wore off. I was using Bluetooh headset but was not satisfied with the quality....still searching for the best.
We also have a Nokia 2128i....ah, getting closer!
To be honest what they really need is a phone for the severely technologically challenged, and elderly folks who want a plain jane phone with absolutely nothing but buttons to make calls with zero options except maybe called ID; a phone that prevents the user from pressing one b...
