Upgrades? Whats going on?

For the last few weeks we have noticed at our store that credit and activations have been letting customer upgrade long before their equipment eligibility date... my coworker upgraded a guy who just upgraded six months ago...what is going? Could it be glitches in the system?

Anyone going through this? 😉

I don't know if it has anything to do with what store we're at! Although, we are an indirect at the Lima, Ohio Mall.

We process our orders through eroes.....if that helps.

I'm due for un upgrade in 2 weeks. Is there any chance of them just letting me do it now? My speaker is shot on my SCH-a670 and I'd really like a new phone sooner rather than later...

no you have to wait till your upgrade date. if the phone you have is defective and its still under warranty (one year from when you got it unless you have total equipment coverage for 5.99 a mo) then bring it to a store to get a replacement unit.

even if it's not, you may want to try to use a headphone until your upgrade comes around.

Yeah, that's what I thought, I just wanted to see if they made exceptions to the policy ever. But that's what I'm doing now, using the hands free set to talk.

THAT'S NOT TRUE. YOU CAN DO AN UPGRADE NOW, THEY JUST MAY NOT GIVE YOU THE EXTRA $100 OFF OF THE PHONE. YOU'LL GET IT FOR THE 2 YR PROMO PRICE THOUGH. I'VE DONE IT, I WANTED TO CANCEL A SECOND LINE AND THEY LET ME UPGRADE MY PHONE AND GET THE 2 YR PROMO PRICE. I DIDN'T GET THAT NEW IN TWO $100 CREDIT BUT I GOT THE PHONE CHEAP. THEY'LL LET YOU UPGRADE ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU'RE SO CLOSE, VZW ISN'T THAT TOUGH. CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE BEFORE YOU GO INTO THE STORE SO WHEN YOU GO INTO THEY STORE THEY CAN'T GIVE YOU A PROBLEM.

I took my NE2 upgrade last July when I got the 8100. I also took NE2 on my wife's account about 2 months after that, right when we put our plans together on a family plan. I called CS about something a couple of weeks ago and was told I was eligible for NE2. I checked my account online and it says the same thing. I have no idea what's up, and I love my 8100, but if something really cool comes out soon I might be getting another toy to play with.

If you know you used up your NEWE2 credit, you have to be careful when you go into a store, because they may notice your NEWE2 date did not reset when you got your 8100, and the store may correct the date in the system which will then pull the NEWE2 off on the internet as well. I would recommend, if you want to try and use the NEWE2 again, go online where no one physically reviews the account.
