I'm in the process of moving and once again look over to my dusty land line and wonder why the hell do I pay for you. My verizon service works so steller I use it exclusively. I'm definitely a cell junkie and just love learning every new thing that comes down the pipe. I have decided to ditch the land line and pick up another wireless carrier, and have some fun watching its progress. So my question to you is, if you could choose another carrier to follow which one and why? Thanks πŸ™‚

Well, I for one am also a cell phone junkie and always have my landline number forwarded to my cell anyway and was also wondering why I kept a landline. I hated to give up my home number, though, as I had had it for over 7 years. So I finally decided to add another line to my family share plan and port my home number to a cell. Now instead of paying a huge phone bill every month on a phone I never use, I only pay $9.99 for the extra line and get to keep my number! I would personally never switch to a different carrier. Yeah, I've had a couple bad CS experiences over the years I've been with Verizon, but overall I believe they are the best and am staying with them for the long haul.

Sorry, gunny, I did mis-read your post. I see what you are saying now. As far as another carrier, I don't know much about the rest.

gunny. i just love your posts.. so many things to talk about.. haha..
well seeing as i HAD verizon(will NEVER , EVER knock them for Coverage and RECEPTION) and now currently have tmobile (SO SO with reception/signal- even in heavily populated areas) I would STILL (if i were you o course) try them out. Not ONLY would you get THE MOST minutes for your buck (which if your JUST testing it out would be most beneficial to you) but Customer service IS almost always compared TO or seen as better than VERIZON. lol 😁 I dare ya to call 1800 tmobile and JUST ASK... about starting service. let me tell ya. they will blow your mind. now i know IM being biased and not mentioning anything about CIN- err "SIN"Gular or sprint/ nextel.. just havent had that ...

yes thank you, absolutely leaning toward t-mobile for the exact reasons you state. Its just smart to get input from others like yourself because know matter what we think we know there is always someone who can shed a different light. ( Mary for example) Good customer service is a big plus, Thank you πŸ™‚

I work as an agent of verizon and I have the lg vx 8100. I am a former t-mobile customer. There are many differences some good some bad. Coming from t-mobile I was shocked at what I could not do with a verizon phone. I loved my t-mobile sidekick...but lost it in a repoed car...I was mad...Nonetheless, If I had to choose another carrier it would be back to t-mobile..but I don't know if I would forsake verizons coverage and reliability for cooler phones...

Thanks, I should have stated my op differently. I'm not ditching verizon I just want to follow the progress of another carrier. I was thinking tmobile because I live in Washington state and Bellevue is tmobile headquarters. I know they work really well in this area. I could buy cheap phones off ebay and have my fun. Plus I cant get the Sammy t809 out of my head πŸ™‚ thanks again

wow what a question gunny. i too am a sell junkie. i work for an agent thats sells vzw, t-mo, and sprint. as well as a few pre-pay joints i wont mention. NEEDLESS to say i am carrying each post pay carriers product at an extremly low rate 😁 . aside from that i used to work for a company called AT&T that quit on me and converted to cingular (gosh i hated the thought of that 😑 ). HOWEVER, i no longer work for cingy. and amazingly enough after my employee plan was cut BEFORE getting ANY dealer lines i found myself at the CINGULAR STORE. (and yes i forgot to take my vzw lanyard off 🀣 ). i'm not one to actually suggest a 2nd carrier to you but i can tell you if i had to pick 2 they'd be vzw and cingy. no other combo. why? because coverage w...

Let’s face it Gunny, the only real horse race over the next few years is between Verizon and Cingy. Sprint and T-Mob are only going to be also-rans. If I had an addiction as bad as yours and was going to try the experiment, Cingular would be the choice.

P.S. LUV DA FONE ! ! !
