They my as well all be the same phones. They will all have the ugly UI. I bet verizons next step will be just to make one phone with one form factor. Why give the customer a choice at all.

you know, i wish all the company's would just make one phone. no difference between any of them. and i wish they were all locked and you couldn't do anything on them at all. maybe then all you whiners would just quiet down.... its a phone people, just relax. if you want all the capabilities of a laptop, get one. who cares that it can't ring how you want or send that pic that you want. and oh lord help us, i cant make it look exactly how i want cause god knows i love to stare at my screen all day.......my suggestion.....get a hobby, take your mind off the phones and you'll see there are more important things in life.....thank you

Do you know how many of my friends (14-32) call me about the "problems" with their cellphones? Sometimes I wonder how these people use their computers...

Not an impressive preview in my opinion. The only phone I have my eye on is the Nokia 6265i. It was supposed to come out Q4 2005 but then was pushed to Q1 2006. Meanwhile there is no info out there at all about its status and Verizon even said they don't think the phone even has a carrier yet, let alone it being them.

So who knows.

Dunno!!??

However I am not so down on the UI as everone else. Afterall whenver I buy a new computer.. guess what. it has Windows on it just like the one i had before.

I think people just need something to complain about.

It's a cell PHONE anyway, not a cell UI.

That is correct, and in nine more days I Choose to port the hell out do verizon communist ways. The list of restriction is growing everyday.

Cold war is over buddy. China and Russia are our friends now 🤣

For people like you who cares about gadgets more then the phone itself just a friendly suggestion, GO AHEAD. PORT OUT. People need to port out too, otherwise, if the churn goes down any lower, people would speculate about VZ way to run the business by not showing customers other providers, like in NKorea 😛

You must be another verizon sheep. So in your world if you don't have verizon you just have a gadget phone. Very weak argument. How are all the millions of people on other providers getting by. Very laughable, There would be know need for a forum if we all thought the same. Thanks for piling on.

very cute. so, why are you on THIS forum again?

what I'm trying to say that people who need a cellphone to be a cellphone are usually satisfied with Vz. look at the numbers.

I'm loving when people without any arguments are bashing other company. close the door on your way out.

I think crippled everything is a fine argument.
And the reason you choose not to address them is you have no defense. You are brainwashed buddy to think verizon is all that. I said in many of my post they are a good company. Why are you mad at me for expressing my thoughts. Is it because you agree? 😳 Enjoy your service, don't hate because I don't like the UI and crippled everything.

Great, you went over to hofo and hacked your phone so obex would work. wouldn't it be nice if it just worked out of the box like it is suppose to. Better hang on to that e815, the new ui will not allow that. verizon is closing down doors left and right. can you view a full html page on that thing 😳

Have fun with no java and your gin.
can you use the mini opera browser, 😳

-First off I think everyone in the world now knows you do not like the new UI. Well that fine life is not fair for everyone. But do you really need to write the same complaint a million times. You took this forum off topic once again like you do in all the others. Make your onw orignal post if you like.

I hacked my v710 and I seemed edit the hell out of my e815. There is no way to hack this UI razr of mine. Yes I can make a few small changes with seem edits, but nothing get rid of the red bars. Verizon is closing doors day after day. Their restriction are becoming down right wrong. They should at least give the option of flashing another UI to it. This forum is available to everyone to express our thoughts, so chill out. I will start my own threads in the future. I cant believe you want to look at the same UI the rest of yourlife.

Plus you can customize Windows to the max, verizons UI is just another powerful example of verizon restrictive ways. They are a good company, but IMO they are going downhill

Downhill? Hmmm. Ok.

I can guarantee that Cingular and Sprint and T-Mobile, etc, will eventually start doing some of the same things Verizon are doing.

I dont feel restricted by my phone at all.

You think T-Mobile will cripple their Bluetooth and put an ugly red bar UI on its phones. I will take my chances. The list of things you can't do with verizon phones is huge. But if you only want voice verizon is a good choice.

No hard data, but I'd speculate that the VX-8400 has lots of flashing colored lights, fluctuating call volume, a wildly fluctuating signal strength meter, and marginal reception. 🙂

If that is supposed to be a knock on the 8100 I have an 8100, 8000 and a moto 815. I choose to carry the 8100 and gave the other phones to my other account holders becasue it worked the best at my house. I had very little volume issues and ever since I had version 7 put on i have experienced 0 volume issues and reception has always been excellant. Out of the three it is the only one that works perfect at my house. The 8000 looses evdo as soon as you connect and the moto drops calls and doesn't even read evdo at my house. The 8100 reads evdo and maintains it no problem when i use my data and has never dropped a call. So I really get confused when people bash this phone for reception, it isn't like the phones i am comparing with it are garbage...
