Can't order a new phone online for 6 months!

So I got the V325 back in December, and it sucked, so I returned it. Now I want to order the E815 online and they are telling me that you have to wait 6 months before getting another phone online! I don't have the time to get to the stores, plus I want the $50 instant online rebate. So they tell me that they don't state that anywhere on their web site, but it's the "system" that sets those rules. I think that's a load of c**p and that they can't just make up rules as they see fit. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB if their online orders department (closed on Sat. nights and Sundays of course) won't help me with this.

Yeah I am not holding my breath. I filed a complaint with the BBB but that's useless as well I am sure. I will just have to suck it up and go to a store and spend the $50 extra plus sales tax and then wait forever for the refund check I'm afraid.

Unfortunately that can be the case. I actually thought that the 325 was pulled back. Originally it was on my website as coming soon, so I'm not sure what its deal is. Anywho, hope things work out for you. You'll love the e815! I've heard nothing but good things from my customers.

Thanks pete1660, I appreciate it! I've heard nothing but good things about the E815, I should have just gotten it *before* the V325, and when it was still $99 - then it would been free with my NE2!

If the online store won't let you purchase it try calling TeleSales. I've never heard of someone not being able to upgrade. It may take time for the dates to reset in the computer to do an automated transaction, but any rep should be able to help you, whether in store or over the phone. Hope they can help you out with that.

How can they do that ? the v325 was pulled from the website after only a week and never made it to the stores until now beacause a major defect in the software Many crashes and complaints. I would try again or talk to a manager.

Yeah I spoke to a supervisor, I may call during tomorrow, odds are I'll get someone else and hopefully they can be more helpful. I think it's lame that they make up these rules and don't tell you *anywhere* nor can they reset it anywhere either.

So VZW was useless. I spoke to the Internet Sales department and the woman was very rude. She transferred me to a nice CS rep who also couldn't help me. To me this practice is BS. It's like buying a coat at a store, then returning it because it doesn't fit, and when you want to get a new one they say "sorry sir, you can't shop here again for another year" The CS rep I spoke to told me you had to wait 1 year after buying online before you can buy online again, how lame is that? Especially since the woman on Sat. night told me 6 months, even Verizon doesn't make up the same rules the same!!!!?!?!?!?!?!

That is the case with verizon, you can call in with one question and talk to 30 reps, and you will get 30 different answers. you just have to keep calling untill you get someone that will help you the way you want helped. I had a phone shipped to me under a renew contract, I got the phone, did not keep it, sent it back, called a week later, had a new phone sent out, and it never came, I called in, and they said, oh, that shipment was cancelled because your number did not qualify for a new contract, let me remind you, a week earlier, they actually sent a phone out and I sent it back.

So, you just have to keep trying, eventually you will find a rep that knows what is going on and help you out, our you will find one that knows nothing and...
