Here we go again ladies and gentlemen. DKVZW registered on this site just eleven days ago and since he has littered this forum and and only this forum with petty complaints and slanderous lies according to his post history. His his most recent post "the history of the baby bells" just proves to me that he is some kind of lobbyist or works for another wireless provider. In a post earlier he stated that he was just preaching the unfairness of the wireless industry and there was no specific target then my question to him is why not post in all the carrier forums why come on and trash verizon wireless. I came to the forum 11 days ago based on a google query, VZW was the LAST provider I had faith in.
I do not work for nor am affiliated with any Wireless Carrier/Agency/Sub Agency. I don't have any friends that work for this industry.
I've sat out ETF's on terrible service and Verizon was my last hope, since due to Cingular I lost my bonus - I am an IT Engineer, that is on call. Cingular phone I had had to be placed on my window sill in order to ring. And it did not (I was on off-hours support) I got chastized and RAN to the Verizon Wireless store, spending my Lunch there standing in lines to pay for equipment.
I was happy as could be since the phone worked,
I did not pursue Cingy for all the B.S. I just sa...

This is the worst planning/excuse I've ever heard. EVERY engineer I know has a cell phone and a pager. The cell doesn't use voicemail, it goes to the pager. If I needed to contact someone and I paged them, I got a call back in about 45 seconds.

I for one came on to this forum to find out if there are more disgruntled VZW customers and if there are ways around VZW restrictions, as for the new features that you speak of just watch the VZW commericials cause they do a good job on getting their customers to buy things that the competition offers for free. So I say let the person speak.

Just making an observation here:
Mahoodlum also just joined phone scoop 11 days ago and has nothing but whining complaints about verizon and has only posted in the verizon forum.
Maybe we can just create a new forum room for whining crybaby's and liars so we can avoid them easier.

oh god get it straight, complaints are nothing new and why don't you quit complaining about people and actually address what we are complaining about, (typical sales rep, don't resolve complaints, just ignore them and try to sell them something different). And if you would do any investigation try starting with my other posts in the Nokia forum and tmobile forum...so screw off and get a life, cause I can['t] hear you now and cause of your hostility I will leave Verizon at the first chance, only cause those that follow VZW and promote VZW seem to be the less educated that don't realize that VZW is about 5 years behind their owners (Vodaphone)

Oh and 11 days your are right, which is when I got the phone that was advertised as able to do more things than one thinks and it didn't cause VZW killed it. I never had anything bad to say about VZW until I realized their business model

So you never had anything bad to say about VZW because you never dealt with Verizon before? I don't have anything bad to say about Kia but I also don't own a Kia, so why would I have an opinion about them? If you're going to complain about their business plan, maybe you should research a little more before you sign contracts. You may disagree with the next company you go with, what will you do then? Hey I clearly knew why I joined VZW it was their I can talk anywhere in the country feature, which I needed at the time, however because of the nature of my work at the time I did not have the chance to review the details, I was literally on the road moving west and no other provider at the time covered the areas I was going to. So before you shoot off at the hip just know that some people don't get that chance.

Again, my point is to state that your situation made it difficult for you to review the details and now you're upset at the situation you're in. You went with Verizon for their coverage and now that you have the time to go over everything else, you're upset. I understand that we sometimes are in situations where we have to make "spot" decisions, but I don't hold other people accountable for my mistakes or misunderstandings when I've made those decisions. You have control over your life and no one else, so don't blame others for your issues. Verizon doesn't offer some of the things you want, or doesn't give them to you free. Well yes it could be taken that way, but I also feel that if enough customers complain to the company that they may actually address it, instead of doing the slow process of relying on the market to change....I don't see an issue with jump starting VZW plans to change, the market takes to long and before we know it the technology is supressed cause VZW didn't figure out a profit margin to make. That in my mind is bad business, and is obviously starting to come back to bite them.

Obviously? Verizon has been climbing at an accelerated customer add rate with the lowest churn rate of any of the major carriers. Odds are that they'll overtake Cingular after the quarterly results come in. Obviously you're still making your decisions without researching anything but what you find on the net. I realize it'd be nice for Vzw to make these changes for you and the customers who have the same views as you, but your complaints are also weighed against their numbers, and the numbers say their doing just fine. Ok, I've gotta go for now, somebody has to work around here. 🤣
