Verizon numbers compared to last year.

I wonder what Verizon's activation numbers are compared to last year this time. Without Radioshack I would believe that Verizon's numbers are much smaller. Don't get me wrong I love Verizon but they left us and we are going to take them down. Radioshack will make sure Cingular stays number one and that Sprint together with Nextel takes down Verizon. Sorry bud.

Unless Radio Shack is the only place to get wireless service in rural markets, most areas have plenty of places to buy Verizon Wireless service. It doesn't solely rely on Radio Shack for Verizon's high numbers. In my area (NW Indiana), Best Buy & Verizon Wireless owned stores & Circuit City Kiosks get the most customers for Verizon Wireless service. That might be true that people recognize AT&T, but I don't trust the service now that SBC owns AT&T. I believe customer service under the resurrected AT&T n...

I highly doubt that VZW splitting ways with radioshacj will put much of a dent, if any in Net adds. Just look at the success at the Circuit City Store within a Store deal. Some Circuit City kiosks get more gross adds than some communication stores, and yet they aren't taking business away from the communication stores.

I would imagine that loseing verizon hurt radioshack more than it hurt us. With all the direct channel kiosk's opened and the decline of RSH stocks I'm guessing time will tell wether RSH will have any serious direct impact.

I'm just glad this means less calls from customers who activated in Radioshack, get their first bills and don't have their nights and weekends and in-network calling promotions because of everything being set up incorrectly. I'm not sure what the VZW bigwigs are thinking about this change but I can tell you the customer service reps are thrilled.
