I know someone who teaches school.. is there any kind of educational discount that Verizon offers her? I read Cingular offers a 'Premier' discount to some educational folks, wonderin' if VZW is similar.

That would be a nice incentive if there isn't already a plan in place.

Doesnt have to be much. Maybe like $5 off the bill or something.

I know Verizon does give discounts to educators at least in Minnesota. I'm not sure how much, but I think they have to go through their school districts inorder to get the discount.

depends on your company. if it is a public school then it should fall under the state.. at least in CT that is how it works. go to www.verizonwireless.com/ryl and you can get the paperwork to send in for the discount.

VZW does supply discounts to public school systems. They qualify as a state discount. In some cases they can be a huge discount off the bill and equipment. These discounts make s huge dent in your bill in most cases. Discounts are not offered in stores or resellers. You have to call 800-2-join-in.

This discount goes for anyone who works in the school system. Janitors, coaches, lunch ladies, and all the way up to principals!

Just as a side note... retirees are not eligible. sorry!!
