The FCC has published the manual and a few other goodies regarding the Palm Treo 700w due out on Verizon at the end of this month, or early next year. An yes, it is called the Treo 700w, even though Palm denied the name and refused to offer any guidance to the name at its launch party.
The 96-page manual confirms what we've already known about the Treo 700w. Palm has done a nice job customizing the operating system to their needs. They've even tossed in a few applications to make operation a little easier, much like they've done with past devices on the Palm OS. For more details, check out the Palm Treo 700w manual.

As much as I liked palm, it was time to move on. The Pocket PC is much better in my opinion. Plus, why would anyone get the Treo650 when it isn't even Broadband?

I think you really mis-interpreted that guys post. He was saying it was time for palm to move on (in other words, its nice to see this new 700w with PPC etc) and that the 650 didn't even have broadband so why would people buy it? (in other words it's nice to see this new 700w is EVDO capable as the 650 should have been).

Does anyone happen to know what the typical time frame for release is once Verizon shows this "coming soon" thing on their site next to their phones for the 700w? Do they put that up 2 weeks before release? Months before release?

Just curious...I'm giving the Treo another try (tried the 650) and am really hoping they fixed the reception issues - We'll see I guess.

seeing the 9800, the Treo 650, and the Razr all on a coming soon page with Verizon and then appear a month later for sale... I would guess Jan/Early Feb of next year. I am holding out for it my self. My girl is getting the Razr.
