V710? 2 Hour Waits? No Holiday Minutes?

jpg

WOW! It seems that verizon is really going downhill faster than expected. Some very interesting threads. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO BUY A V710? Someone tell that guy that there is a lawsuit and a recall on the phone. Verizon will give a FULL refund including accessories, or you can get out of your contract if you wish. The phone is that bad. Worst phone Motorola ever made.
The 2 hours waits are not the norm, but 45 minutes to over an hour is. Then the take away of a simple thing like holiday minutes seems like verizon is living on their past laurels.
Can not wait to hear how the verizon reps reply to the new posts today and the problems that verizon denies. If they are number 1 in customer service then customer service as a whole in this c...

Hmm, I was using an Audiovox CDM8900 and I liked it a lot before I got my 710. In fact my wife still has hers and it works great, especially in the car where we have a fully installed car kit.

Back to me. So I went from the 8900 to the V710 because of Bluetooth since my new car has bluetooth. Though I did not like crippled bluetooth, I liked the phone a lot and my son is now using it. Outside of the BT issue, thge only two things that I had against the 710 was battery life and the phone book organization. A real plus to the 710 is the tri-mode capability.

I went from the 8900 to the 710 to the Blackberry 7250 and temporarily back to the 8900 till the Razr comes out. Life is a circle ;-)

well take that V710 back from the kid and send in the form for the recall. www.verizonwireless.com/v710settlement

Gee! If Verizon was as good as all you reps claim, why so many problems? If Verizon was as good as they once were, why the need for tri mode phones? Why the need for analog in this digital world?

jpg, first, I am not a Verizon rep nor do I work for any wireless firm. I own my own (3) companies.

Though as I mentioned the v710 has some issues, for us its ok. Actually when the Razr comes out we will be getting 2. One for my son, and one for me.

With reagard to your analog comment, I am guessing that you don't travel, or where you do is all digital. There are plenty of places still in America (California, South Dakota, etc.) that are analog only which is why I believe that analog will not be shut down on its scheduled time. It is also true that Verizon has its bad spots as do all carriers.

My only regret about the forthcoming Razr is that it is digital only. This is why when I got my new Blackberry I got it from another carrier...

To me its funny 🤣 because any customer who has done any research would know to spend the xtra 20 bucks for the 950 for $50.00 bucks.(after rebate)They would get a newer phone w/mp3 player and vcast!I wouldnt pass on that deal. But then again im just a vzw agent. 😕

Every users needs are individual. The reason that the 710 is (was) a better option to me was standardization. The 710 uses a mini usb plug (charging/power) as does the blackberry. For us weary already over packed business travelers, that means one less charging cord (actually two, a/c and car) to worry about loosing or carrying.

The 950 might be the BEST phone ever, but for someone of my age, I don't want to listen to music on my phone or to watch tv on it. Actually I don't even want a camera! I just want to make and receive calls on it and to send/receive text messages consistently wherever I am.

Yea everyone needs to spend an extra 15 bucks a month for V-cast.
The only difference in the 2 phones is that the Samsung has EVDO and the V710 is trimode. They both use Micro SD cards so they can both hold the same amount of MP3s. The 950 even has the same restrictions on the Bluetooth that had people start a class action lawsuit against Verizon Wireless.

I was not referring to you as a rep. I was referring to other reps comments.
I think I did you a favor posting the web site so you can get your new Razr for probably nothing with the settlement trade in program.
Duh! don't take everything so personal.
I have an all digital phone and also still have a startac for when i need analog in remote california areas, but i find that when i do not get a digital signal in an area i get a very poor signal with the analog phone and the connection is almost worthless anyway.
