From what I have read on Motorola's website, the V3c will have the same 65,000 color screen that the original V3 for Cingular had. The V3i (RAZR2) will have a 262,000 color screen. So yea, the CDMA version will have the same dim screen as the V3.

Fo'syth is a good guy an' a very good source o' information Lorna, but I definitely remember from researchin' it that the Verizon RAZR will have the new, brighter screen.

I think I scoped it on MobileBurn somewhere.. with picture comparisons too.

It does makes sense too.. why upgrade the camera from the orginal RAZR (which was 0.3 megapixel, Verizon RAZR is confirmed at 1.3 MP), an' leave the screen alone?

Hey, this is good news, then. Maybe my ability to get good reception with VzW with a fully enabled BlueTooth phone is still alive. And if not, then does that CDMA RAZR have a USB port, with which I could transfer photo files to my OS 10.3.9 (Panther) iMac?

The advantage that the new RAZR would have over the 6256i would be the display SIZE and the numberof pixels (18 bit rather than 16 bit).

However, I have heard such good about the Nokia's reception that I am ready to acknowledge that the 6256i would have better reception/sound than the CDMA RAZR.

This latest incident with the Nokia software package really threw me a curve ball, although Mupi's hopeful advice is helping to keep the Nokia dream alive.

File transfers over the USB depend on software. The software VZW will offer for it will only do phonebook. You'll probably have to wait for some 3rd party software to be able to upload/download stuff like pictures, free ringtones, free games, etc.

So.....what do think about the phone being released this month for Verizon. Got mine today from my Moto buddy......so it will maybe happen in the month of December. I have had the V325 for over 2 weeks now. My point was that until my Moto guy gets these phone. They are not coming out to the public. He gets the final production model.....then up dates me. I will admit the V3c was held very tight. Usually I get the phone 4 to 6 weeks before it is released. Because of you and SForsyth01, when it comes to Moto......I don't miss lead readers and for the few that know me here will always have prodution model Moto phones before they are released.

What are you talking about? I knew for a fact the phone was not going to happen in the month of November because of my connection with motorola. Makes perfect sense! Better to tell the truth then mislead readers with false release dates. Any interest in a "Q"? Got them in stock now!
