Yeah, I heard the same thing, that both the 2128 and the 6561 or whatever it's called are being held up for service reasons related to the fact that they insist on using their own chipset in their phones (in case people have missed the spate of lawsuits, virtually every other CDMA manufacturer uses Qualcomm chips). Since their niche and reputation with CDMA right now is with low-end handsets, they're going to have to do some work to convince all those retail and indirect salespeople across the country that their new models aren't merely the cheapest things on the market.

UNless the CDMA RAZR is significantly different, the e815 is a much better phone anyway. For example, the v3 RAZR does not have a megapixel camera, which the 815 does. IT doesn't have as much memory capacity, nor expandable memory.

Yeah, its thin, but it is both longer and wider than the e815.

Finally, one other thing stands out when comparing the two phones (phonescoop is awsome 🙂 ): the 815 has an average rating of 4, the v3 only manages 3.6. Granted some of that may be carrier (GSM v. CDMA) issues, but it is still worth noting.
