😲 That MAYBE, (and a BIG maybe at that) VZW is allowing full blown bluetooth capabilities on the upcoming Nokia 6256i. Question: Will the other bluetooth phones like the Moto E815 or the V710 be allowed to upgrade to full strength bluetooth?

I have looked at the VZ online manual for the 6256i, and in the index under Bluetooth, the only item mentioned is for pairing headset with handset.

Wow, You guys don't read..

I have the 6256i's and yes they are VZW and yes they support all Blutooth.. Big deal.. So you can move files from the phone to the PC..

Is this really that important ?

The phone has a MMC card which does the same thing..

I am not that excited about this but I guess it's okay if you really need to move files around

Yah right. I'll believe that whan I see it. I just got a a950 and am most likely going to return it. What the heck is the point of a multimedia product if the user is unable to control the media?

Verizon can kiss the fattest part of my butt.

Sure they might be allowed. But who will pay to develop them? Not Verizon !

Maybe there will be less crippling, but don't count on investment in patching flashes into old phones.

Maybe somebody will write a GIN application.

it's documented in many places, including nokias website, that it is full bluetooth. as far as updates for existing, don't count on it. there are other ways to unlock it. i don't see vzw doing it for you though.

the v710 was documented on moto's site as fully capable and it wasn't. isn't that why vzw had a lawsuit filed against them?

i would hope that's why they wouldn't do it again. my vzw field people are saying it's vzws first fully capable bluetooth phone and we should position it as such. that's from the horses mouth.
