F**k shadowing and m&p's. I've learned more on this forum than I have using any of the methods of training they offer.

Like the Asurion and Lockline thing....I'll get a call with questions pertaining to warranties, weather or not the phone is a refurb...ect. When I ask my sup, she has no clue. And the m&ps and anything in infomanager doesn't help very much.I usually tell the cust. to ask when they call. I need access to phonescoop at work!

Ummmm... I don't know what the problem is. All of the information you need on the warranty that is provided by Asurion or lock/line is provided in the M&P on insurance... If you have to tell the customer to ask when they call the insurance company, that just means you are not using all of your resources... That information is readily available and not very hard to find...

Maybe the system your using provides you with more information or your call center does things differently. Believe me when I say, I use all of my resources. I have 3 senior reps on my team and my sup has been with verizon wireless for years. I'm still fairly new, only with the company for a little over a year now. We have no information on any warranties. We have to provide the customer with 3 pieces of information before the call is x-ferd and anything about warranties or weather or not the phone they are receiving is a refurb is not one of the three.

I would certainly use all my resources that I have at work before I would believe ANYTHING I read here. I've seen many inaccuracies or down right errors. Just because you read it here doesn't mean its true or accurate. Phone Scoop is the National Inquirer for the cell phone industry on-line.

I've learned more on howardforums.com than I have on phonescoop. But I agree, I have learned some stuff between the two forums than available through training or readily seen in M&Ps.

Not saying all the information is legit but I think you can tell (for the most part) what is or what isn't.

M&P's are quite thorough. You just need to learn how to read them. 😕

I like how you can type "surcharge", and nothing even closely related will populate. I just basically printed out some of the short ones I use all the time and highlighted everything I need. I have soooo many cheat sheets.
