I live in Fairfax, Virginia and just want to know if they offer good health benefits as well as good commission on sales. Last I am in school and do they offer tuition assistance for employees.

I am currently in the interviewing process with VZW (I have my final interview tomorrow). From what I have heard from both the hiring manager and a friend who just started working there the health benefits are GREAT!

I am not sure about the commission.

Yes they do have tuition assistance.

The best part is ALL benefits start on day 1!

I had my final interview with VZW today and I was offered the job. The thing I had wrong with my earlier post was that tuition reimbursemnt is after 6 months...but everything else starts at day 1. The insurance is great and the rest of the benefits are great also. I dont know everything quite yet because I haven't gotten my "welcome packet" yet. But I am definately looking forward to my employment with VZW.

tuition reimbursement is effective as soon as you start. atleast it did for me. but it's only full tuition reimbursement up to $8,000 for full-time, and 4,000 for part-time.

What is the average base salary for a new retail sales rep with 4 years retail sales experience from a major competitor?

Also what is the average range of commissions for a high-end performer?

Says the guy who dissed him in the first place over on the Cingular forum.

Man, you're a piece of work. If you're the kind of guy who's a store boss at Cingular, no wonder their reps are over here asking how much other carriers pay.

You're right. All I really know is that you're a jerk who dissed the guy on the other forum, then followed him over here.

Like I said, if you're the typical Cingular store boss, no wonder the guy's lookin' elsewhere.

Yeah, I guess better than yours is going.

Since the reason why you got all impatient when no one over here quoted him a dollar figure was so that you could know how little you could get away with paying your own guys before they jumped ship too.

Can't says I blame BluetoOrange22 at all.

The reason I say you are clueless is:

a) I am an agent of Cingular and pay employees a decent wage. I am not a corporate employee. If you used the slightest bit of intelligence you could see that.

b) I am one of the few here who is honest and upfront about who they are and I don't attempt to post in an anonymous fashion. You could fine my store, call me up and talk to me unlike many of the bozo's here.

LOL, yeah bro, I'm sure you're employer of the year.

I think you were better off when you were just bein' you, like when you said:

Sounds like you were getting drastically overpaid for your job.

This has nothing to do with you personally. But if you were getting paid $60K I am not surprised ATTWS was losing money. Over the last 13 years average reps made $24K to $30K per year with top reps making $40K.

Sorry to burst your bubble but NO carrier is going to pay you $60K for that job

or

Unfortunately it is supply and demand. Lots of people can have little or no formal education. Being a warm body is often the only requirement.

or when you came over here to check up on Verizon wa...

LOL, no bro, I can tell exactly what kind of boss you are from the things you've said and the way you say 'em.

I used to work for a guy like you. He'd pinch pennies as much as he could on the pay and tell you that the pay was "on par" with the industry, which of course was a fat lie. Also didn't have any respect for anyone but himself, pretty much saw all of his guys as expendable and/or dumb.

Needless ta say, everyone hated him and his turnover was high. Don't think he ever figured out why that was, he honestly thought he was a good boss.
