It's all my fault! 😳 😁

Seriously though, I'm starting to get a sinking feeling about that 10/23 release date on the 6256i. I still have hope... we'll see.

My own personal 'bail-out' date on my phone upgrade is going to be Nov 27... that's when the promos at the Verizon store on the Samsung 850 (my bail-out phone if nothing else shows up) run out.

You gotta figure that if the RAZR or 6256i don't show up by then (the end of Thanksgiving weekend) then they'll have missed the Christmas buying season and are not going to show up until next year. Which then becomes a case of 'Screw them and the horse they road in on' as far as I'm concerned. I've waited long enough. πŸ˜›

I've got a Samsung 530 which works great, so I trust Sam...

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Nokia 6256i. I'm sure both phones will come out before you're bail out date. I think it will come close to the planned dates. I'm just looking forward to a new phone. I really just can’t wait to see if by chance it will have full Bluetooth capabilities. I just can’t wait to find out! 😁

I'm buying the RARZ with my ne2 and the nokia full retail πŸ™‚

I think I'll go with the Nokia 6256i as soon as it's available, since I'm eligible now for the upgrade. My contract with Verizon actually ends on Halloween, but I'm not going anywhere, provider-wise. I would be somewhat reluctant to actually upgrade with any Motorola because of the terrible charging port issue. I know that you have to press down on the button to actually release the cord from the phone, and would guess a lot of my customers at nTelos who have Motorolas are probably not doing that, instead just choosing to yank it out and in the process destroying the port. I would also say NOT EVERYONE is being that careless, and why Motorola cannot do a "barrel" connection the way Audiovox has been doing for quite some time, and Nokia a...

Yeah, I totally hear you on Motorola. I'm not a fan of theirs ever since my friend's V265 stopped working after only 10 months. Apparently a pretty common thing too. ☹️

I myself will probably not be getting a RAZR, cool as it looks. But I'll check it out... its the only Moto I'd even look twice at.

Far as iPods go... I have one, and they're pretty great actually. Can't really see myself clipping my cellphone to my arm or hip and listening to tunes that way during my workouts, and even if I did the ease-of-use isn't there compared to the iPod (ok maybe on something like the Samsung 950 it almost is, but thats an uncommon design).

All I can say is there's a reason why the iPod is so popular... small, very easy to use, 12-20 hours bat...

Just thought I would share this with you guys since your all soo excited about the Nokia. One of the QA guys was in the store the other day with the phone and said it was a POS. He hated it, reception, battery strength, didn't have one good thing to say. That's kinda weird because Nokia has always given Verizon a really really good product, not sure if these are the opinions from the testers across the board or maybe just his model. I have also heard negative things about the RAZR in testing from my area director, but that was a couple months ago so those issues could be worked out. Obviously it's all word of mouth right now because the phones are not out and only a few people have access to them, I myself have not been able to try either so...

I dunno... that's sure not what they're saying on HowardForums. And some folks there claim to be in possession of the thing (and are willing to sell it), or have talked to folks who've tested it.

The latest from there also is that the 6256 is going to have the Verizon UI, not Nokia's. Guess we know where some of delay came from now. :
