If there is a RAZR coming out for Verizon, shouldn't the V710 come out for Cingular? ☚ī¸

haha yeahright, you took the words right out of my mouth. id never buy a motorola personally, not even for free, maybe if moto payed me to use one of thier phones id at least take it into consideration.

Are you kidding me, my 720 was the best phone ever. oh my bad i meant worst phone ever. If moto paid me it would still be a tough decision to ever use a moto again.

Keep in mind Moto tunes antennas differently.

Other dual band vendors tune for the midpoint between PCS and Cellular - Moto tunes specifically for Cellular. It obviously still picks up PCS - but in an all PCS area, every phone will out perform a Motorola.

REALLY? I have never heard that before, how certain are you fo this? Not that I am doubting you but this interest me? I am in an all PCS market and Motos seem to work great here, better than many other phones.

I was never doubting motos reception quality, that is the one thing they can actually do, i just get sick of having 5-10 people come in my store a week becasue their moto will not charge(various models from the 720-all the way up to the 815 already!) On top of that phones like the v60s and moto 265 had over a 50% return rate at my location, i find myself talking people out of motos so they don't come in yelling at me a month down the road.

Exactly, nothing wrong with the reception, just the charging port, microphone or earpiece goes out, and on and on with other minor problems to get yelled at for all the time.

i would consider a bad charging port, mic, or speaker to be more than a minor problem, being that these would keep you from using your phone. just my opinion though.

I have a Moto V710 and absolutely love it. I have sold quite a number of these and nearly all (Had one come back), I either haven't heard from them (a good sign) or if I did, they told me how well this phone works. My wife has a a670, one kid has LG6000, one had 6100 and one 8900. We were all in an area the other day that I was the ONLY one that was getting reception. The camera isn't the greatest...that is my only complaint. I use the bluetooth for headset only, and haven't had a single problem. The phone is about 9 months old now. Loud ringer. Loud ear volume. Great reception. Easy screen to see. Don't like the menus though...no Moto is good for that...but overall I am very pleased.

Like I said, I have sold many of these. M...

The V710 is a great phone for Verizon but it will never come out for Cingular. The most comparable model and probably better than the V710 is the V635. Currently Cingular does not sell them directly, but some indirect dealers have them. What's nice is the V635 is metal as opposed to plastic, has a real flash, and is smaller. Of course they cost about $200 or so, but if you really want a phone like that, this is your best shot. The V635 also has an unheard of rating here on phonescoop, nearly perfect. Type in V635 under "jump to a phone." If you're looking for a Cingular branded phone, you're out of luck for one that's like the V710 but give the V635 a look.
