I hope not!!! Its actually been on its way out for a while. The basic trimode that we have available would be the Nokia 3589i or the Kyocera KX 414.

Tri-mode seems to be on its way out altogether, which in my opinion is a good thing. In my area it doesn't really do you much good, and when you would have an analog signal its terrible and kills your battery immediately. Unfortunately, customers and salespeople both have been trained or trained themselves that "you must have tri-mode!" I get the feeling that Verizon is phasing it out, based on almost all of their newer, more up to date handsets being digital only. I heard a rumor about the FCC making them shut down their analog towers in 2005... does anybody know if there is any truth to that?

yea i do believe that trimode's gonna be on its way out...
i live in a VERY rural area, and alldigital phones work ok (i own a 6000) the trimodes are all that works well for alot of ppl

also, remember if youre using a trimode and go down a hill or need to pick up an analog signal for a sec, no big deal...all digital you just drop the call...arent dropped calls looked at when they do the customer satisfaction surveys?
