Does no holiday minutes qualify as a change of service='s right to cancel
planeJul 16, 2005, 11:48 PM
Does the terminatipn of free holidays which has been a part of verizon service for as long as I can remember qualfy the customer to terminate service wtihout paying the $175 early termination charge?
...
doubt it, it is not even part of the contract
...
If anything that whole incoming text message thing is more of a change of service. ATT did that once for 411 directory assistance when they raised the rates, i believe.
Incoming text messages though, im not sure are part of your contract either.
...
you might (repeat, "might") have been able to get out of the contract for the text increase, but verizon only has to give you 60 days notice that rates are going up. those 60 days have come and gone.
...
It cant have been 60 days yet, when i renewed my contract 1.5 months ago, it was still 2 cents incoming txt.
...
notice was given on your may statement and it was on verizon's website on may 1st. it's not 60 days after the change. it's 60 days after you're given notice.
...
If you ever accepted new promotions or a rateplan or equipment, then it may have renewed you under a new contract with new terms and conditions.
