OK so my cingular phone sucks and so does the service in my area. I cant even use the phone at my house because i live near canada. Also the call quality on my phone sucks.

I was going to go to verizon but they have nice phones but they are all big phones. I dont want to carry around a big phone. Any idea if they are coming out with new ones? I heard some bad reviews of the A670 and the rest are too big.

He-he - do you want to switch? ;-)

I am having problems with my VZW service - dropped calls, phone going into analog for no reason etc.

If the trouble ticket does not change anything, I'm open to switching. đŸ˜ĸ

Verizon is doing the same thing to you? I have a full signal at my house and as soon as i push the green button its gone! Because i live near the border to canads in New York. And the phone itself is junk, cant hear anyone the volume is so low! Verizon around here is great but the phones are horrible, too big and bulky! ☚ī¸

JUST GO A VERIZON LOCATION NEAR YOU, YOU MAY BE HAVING SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE PHONE, NOT WITH THE NETWORK. TROUBLE TICKET DO NOT ACTUALLY WORK PRETTY WELL

The Samsung A670 is actually a very good phone, regardless of what you heard. It might be the phone I'd have if my work allowed cameraphones.

Also, a new Samsung came out, the A570... its small too, though no camera. But only available at Radio Shack.

whats funny is the reviews vary. Some people say the speaker is too low which i have a problem with the speaker on my samsung e317. Some say the phone gets hot when you talk on it. Its like im nervous to go through switching and stuff just to get another phone thats not what i am expecting. I know people that have the A670 and they like it. I like phones that have loud speakers so i can hear clearly. Maybe I will look into that 570 and 670. I have a camera now but i barely use it, it seems like a useless feature to me but a nice feature to say you have it.

I had the Samsung A670 for about 9 months, and it was great as far as call quality and reception. It has no speakphone. Other than that, it's great. Try it out in the store, or wait for the A570.
I switched to the LG VX6100 which is bigger, but still easy to carry around. From my experience, the LG's seem to offer the best sound (plenty loud enough in the earpiece). It has a speakerphone, decent camera, and crystal clear calls as well as being tri-mode. I'd not count out the LG 6100 yet. I'd give that a try, too.

The a670 is leaps and bounds better than the a650...including better RF (which I thought was odd, but it's true!). I'm selling my brand new 650 on eBay for exactly that reason.

Do you want a small phone or a phone that actually works? If you want a small phone get the LG 3200. If you want more features, get the LG 6100. It may be bigger, but it will work.

Part of the problem of living near the Canadian border is that sometimes, Canadian signal's much stronger than American signal and I'm not sure if changing carriers will fix that.

I'd say try other carriers, see if they do the same thing. You might want to see about getting a North America packs, but that's probably too expensive...

Yeah, they take the roaming off every month so its not too bad. The signal is weak though and people break up. Im not a big fan of verizons phones though.

You can change a setting in Verizon phones to prevent hooking up to Canadian towers. You have to change it again when you leave that border area though. It's a setting called "Home Only." It prevents your phone from connecting to any SID other than your home SID. System ID that is.

We can change your service to being home only at cingular. You have to call customer service for that because GSM phones can not be manually programed.

It is a billing system feature but we do not like to use it. How it would work is ytou would only pick up Cingular's sytem ID's which means former blue towers and orange towers. That can cause all kinds of issues your best bet is to get a north america plan.

Dump Cingular?

This is because we don't put out as much anyomre, isn't it? Well ever since you stopped going downtown Cingular just hasn't been in the mood.

Maybe if you two spend some time together in a local motel, dump off the kids and rent some "adult" videos you two can work it out.

If you want to see why people wants to dump Cingular, just look yourself in the mirror.

In another thread, you say how every customers are a-holes, they should all go eat ****s, and to be shot etc...

You serious have some psychological problems.
