Question on buying phone

I am about to make use of my 'new every two' program this coming july. i orginally got my current phone when i joined vzw with an inidividual AMerica's Choice 400. It was a two year plan. A year or so into it, my family joined in on the plan. Does this extend my plan? And does this mean that I will have to pay retail price for my new phone, since technically, I am still on this plan? Thanks.

You should still have NE2. That is unless the person that set up your family plan changed one of the other phones to be the primary number. Even if they did it'd be pretty easy to fix, remove NE2 from the other phone and give it to you. Using NE2 will however get you on a new 2 year contract but also re-enroll you in new every 2.

you say that it will get me back on a NEW 2 year contract. This does mean that I can REnew my contract with my current family plan, right? Thanks for the response!

Upgrading your phone will put your line on a 2 year contract from the date you activate the phone. It will not effect any other lines you have. You aren't required to make a change to your price plan either.
