Switching service between two smartphones

If I want to switch my service between a Droid Incredible and an iPhone 4, can this be done easily without changing up my plan? Specifically, the smartphones talk free promo and the unlimited data? And is there a limit of how many times you can switch between phones?

Sorry for the noob question, but I get bored with phones easily and I'm used to SIM cards.
