I have a droid incredible running the newest CM7 Nightly. I also have an OG droid running the same.
CM runs smoother on my phones than any other rom and by far has the best battery life. My favorite feature right now is the themes selector though.

A friend of mine who has it uses a EVO battery and says gets like 5 more hours of Battery life!

i've got a r2droid2 rooted using liberty 1.0 with the linear theme.
i don't have DNLA anymore, but i've got approximately twice the battery life.

I can't give you a decent reply cause i don't know much about the other roms out there for the Droid 2. From the research that i have done, liberty seems to be the most stable rom out there for the droid 2/x platform and the linear theme just looks damn cool.
When i get tired of the way it looks i'll go out and play with some of the other roms, but for right now, liberty does everything i want it to do. With all the native features of the phone working perfectly (except for DLNA) i really just view roooting my phone as a way to change how the device looks.
Oh, and i can flick up on the screen and bring up my app drawer, something that the og droid lost with the 2.2 update and that i've not seen on any of the other droids since. I ...
