Do I need to sign up for a 2 year agreement?

When purchasing iPhone at the 2 year promotional price a new agreement is required. However, you will also have the option to purchase iPhone at full retail price, which will not require you to sign a long-term agreement.


Will existing customers be able to redeem their New Every Two credit?

Yes, existing customers will be able to take advantage of their New Every Two credit if eligible, and use it towards the purchase of iPhone (may not be available at all agent locations).

So does this mean it won't be available for 1 year pricing, at least initially?

Either Verizon isn't mentioning one years at this point, or they're not going to be offered on that phone at all. Not sure what to read into this, given Verizon's recent use of 1-year contracts to deflect attention away from the loss of annual (early) upgrades. It's probably just an omission.

It better be. Not that most Verizon customers would sign a one year contract.

I was actually wondering about this myself. If I were to make the jump, it would only be for the 1yr agreement. If the iPhone does not have this option, then I will have to see whats out in March. Hopefully something good.

I doubt it will be available on one year agreements. Never has been before with AT&T and Verizon frankly knows those who would buy the iPhone (vast majority, not phone scoopers) will blindly commit to a 2 year agreement.

After all, they have never been concerned with cutting edge technology before; why would that suddenly change?
