when can i expect a phone i like?
currently comparing cingular and verizon. i'd prefer to go with verizon as my boyfriend has it and we can get mobile to mobile, BUT i have yet to see a phone i like. i'm looking for an attractive, lightweight, candy bar with NO FRILLS. no bluetooth, no camera. the current candy bars verizon offers seem clunky and unappealing to me. does anyone foresee anything COOL coming out in the next few months??

How about this one, read the forums it sounds like Verizon will carry this phone in the next couple of months. It's a mid-range Nokia.

I personally don't like bar phones, but that's one I wouldn't mind having. Guess I'm starting to see why there's so many Nokia fanboys out there. 🙂

i actually considered it, but then i saw it in person... i think it looks a little bit like a toy phone for my taste. the pop up screen and the plastic it's made of... plus the one in the store couldn't pop the screen up anymore b/c it had been handled so much. not a good sign if you use your phone a lot... 😕

I want a clamshell phone w/ minimal frills but I want the bluetooth. My cars both have the bluetooth handsfree and I live/work near D.C. which has a hands-free law. My problem is that I work in areas where cameras (and camera phones) are NOT permitted for security reasons. The only bluetooth phones without cameras available are PDA/Blackberry style. I don't need or want that type of features so I don't want to pay $$$ for them. If I give up the bluetooth, then Cingular's phones w/ comparable features to VZW's phones are cheaper.
When will Verizon listen? I know literally a hundred people at my place of work that would buy a bluetooth phone if it didn't have a camera! There's got to be a large number of people working in the militar...
