It's like saying 'neener neener' to the person who bought yesterday, and 'ha ha' to the person who buys tomorrow.

I don't why anyone likes this phone. I found it completely unusable.

-Speakerphone is a complete fail and barely works.

-Battery life is ridiculously low, making it tough to use on a day-to-day basis.

-Phone always felt very cheap to me for some reason. Too much plastic.

I wouldn't take this phone if you paid me!

Well I would not mind upgrading from my XV6900 to a Blackberry except that Verizon's system treats the data plans for Blackberry differently than other smart phones. I can change devices from the XV6900 to an Android or WinMo device and keep all of my grandfathered features. I could not do so going to a Berry.

Which grandfathered features would you keep?

Mobile Broadband Connect Unlimited with no cap. I know most people with Droids use free apps to piggy back off of their $29.99 Smartphone feature... However, I have never had one just WinMo phones.

Love my Incredible. Speakerphone is superb, battery life usually lasts from 7AM to 11PM (with use). I guess the phone might feel hollow and plastic-like, but I've gotten used to it.

the speaker is far from "superb". I used my speakerphone 8-10 times a day and it was horrid on the incredible. Its a half duplex speakerphone which makes it virtually unusable for any serious conversations.

Battery life could be better depending on the user. I didnt play around on the phone too much, but typically by 1-2pm is was toast.

These were just my experiences....I guess others could be different.

Interesting. I've never had a complaint or a problem with the speakerphone. I use it more than handset mode. Just yesterday I had a conversation with my Mom, who will keep going if you don't interrupt her. My conversation with her was just as it would have been with the speakerphone off.

Well...I pulled the trigger. I think it will be okay for my needs. I only used the XV6900 to tether so. I figure with this Incredible I will be able to listen to radio stations when I am not tethered. Who knows what else I might begin to do?

Wait! You bought a phone?!?!

I thought you'd hold out forever. You already outlived the 3GMM data plan debacle.

Good for you.

"Bought" is a little strong. I held out for over three years.

Now Verizon will surely release the Incredible HD or Merge or whatever the Verizon EVO (sort of) handset is.

Still, three years is monumental. I don't consider you a sell out by any means. And you know all to well, once you purchase something, another and better phone always comes out. But I think the Incredible is a good buy. I haven't considered buying a DroidX because my Incredible has everything I need.
