Remember when?
I mean, back when things were "2G" I had a phone that I didn't even text on. I ONLY used it for phone calls.
That got me thinking... I wonder what 4G is going to bring to the table that we don't have right now?

(1) Lower costs per GB, so long term the cost of service will either be flat or drop.
(2) Faster speeds for HD video streaming.
(3) Quicker latencies, allowing for realtime head to head gaming cross-country. Think fast-paced stuff like Halo, etc.
You can't do stuff like that with 3G.

Even landlines have lag, if 4G can operate it without lag I'll fall in love.
I would have to say full video chat is the main feature that 4G will bring to the table.
This will make them the only carrier with continuous 4G coverage. Another item of note centers on the recent tests in Boston and Seattle. Haller said that recent tests showed a downstream rate of 10-12Mb/s and an upstream of 3Mb/s (Mega-bits per-second). Latency on the 4G network dropped from 125ms to around 20ms. This is a considerable speed boost over 3G standards for the company. While LTE is a mobile development, as the first series of chips will see a majority of life in Verizon handsets, it will work just as well with wired Internet standards, Haller remarked.
My DSL connection...
