They won't do it in the store, my phone broke and was going to use an old alltel phone and they won't activate it, can you over the phone when they can't see it

Each phone has specific number assigned to it, so the computer will see it right away. ONly certain alltel devices will activate now, so if your device isn't on that list it might not work

In order to activate an Alltel device you must be on an Alltel plan. You can not activate an Alltel device on a Verizon plan at all. *228 only works with a smartphone when you already have a data pack compatible with that phone on your account. Also, any little feature change will cause *228 to fail. Even a change from standard insurance to advanced device insurance. Just call *611, we will do our best to get the phone activated.
