LG Fathom
Verizon rep told me to be on the look out for this and the BB Bold 9650 since it's on their systems now.

Used it earlier in the week. Best Windows phone I've used in years. Solid phone with a good slide-out keyboard. Last good WM 6.5 device you'll see before they move everything to Windows Mobile 7. Still a year or two behind what some of the other platforms are doing, in my opinion.

Does LG run its own UI over Windows? Is the hardware on par with the TP2?

It seems pretty solid. I wasn't a fan of the Verizon TP2 overall, and if I had to pick between them I'd pick the LG.

What was it about the TP2 that you didn't like?
At one time I seriously considered this device but the lack of phones in stores (had to be ordered on line) stopped me. All of the reviews on this are pretty solid, especially where the keyboard is concerned.

not sure what epik didn't like about the TP2. my dad has one and i had to learn it before teaching him how to use it. i really like it. the processor could be faster, but the hard keyboard is second to none in my book. HTC seems to be the best at making keyboards. the fathom's keyboard looks similar...but i'd give the edge to TP2 for HTC's sense UI.
