cause its running moto blur, which is not currently upgraded to 2.0.

Well 2.1 is out now. Moto need to get their act together. 2.1 has a lot of changes compared to 1.6.

Im sure its not that simple. And the droid has not been out very long, and they have already had one update. I think their current pace for software updates is fine.
It will prolly take even longer if the phone is running a skin on top of stock android.

Today the phone was announced internally. No date mentioned.
It essentially seems to be a Droid-lite. Also, I think they're gearing things up to have the lighter models (Devour, Eris) and the heavier models (Nexus, Droid). But that's my opinion.

It's not the Saygus V phone?

No, its not.
Odd coincidence, Saygus is based out of Utah, where I lived for a while. It turns out a friend I have back there knows the CEO. I wonder if I can get my hands on a sample...

There will be 2 Samsung droids and possibly a LG droid later this year. Also another entry level LG similar to the 5500.

hmmmm-nothing new from HTC in the pipeline? i'm holding out for some kind of Vz version of the Supersonic (variously referred to as the Passion, Dragon, whatever). that 4.3 screen with android would be great.

They are coming out with a version of the Nexus One for us, but that is a Google phone, so most reps won't know a lot about it since you can only (I'm guessing) get it from google like the tmobile one

Verizon should go ahead and subsidize it so we can avoid the $350 ERF +$350 ETF scenario.
...

I'm still curious to see what they do with that..
I'm "hoping" that they will put it in as a 175 etf phone (since they seem to be able to adjust the list) since it is not subsidized

Thank God I got my HTC Droid before LG brings another non-quality offering to the table. Ugh.
