When will verizon get a good Blackberry!!!!!!!
The 9700 makes the Tour look like a bloated 8-month pregnant single mother. Shave about 24% of the surface area off the Tour, bevel the edges, round the corners, and you’ll have something close to the BlackBerry 9700. It’s the most gorgeous BlackBerry on the planet. And no, that’s not up for debate or discussion
AT&T is rocking the way better Blackberry! I hate the Tour 🙄 🙄
To each his own but I for one do not agree with BGR or you. Sorry.
Here's a hint: he's going to like whichever phone is the newest one.
Here is a little hint, something BETTER always comes out. That is the nature of the industry. Blackberry wouldn't do very well if their next phone was a 8700 would they.
sub par blackberry!
no iphone!
Let them know we don't want data forced down our throats! 10 but 25mb is ridiculous.
350 ETF not going to sign any new contacts!
And get some blackberry worth a damn! Plus for the love of God get the friggin iphone!
If you're going to quote BGR, maybe you should read a more recent post.
Here is a link to the Tour 2 hands on he posted. The Tour 2 should be out by the end of February.

So the tour 2 is arguably better than the 9700 because you can run on the best network in america and roam on GSM while abroad. The Tour 2 also has the trackpad and wifi
And I recently played with a friends 9700 and the keyboard is really cramped. I wasnt a huge fan personally
He says it MIGHT sway him from his 9700 so he doesn't share your view point on the cramped keyboard, nor do I. I guess he still grooving his 9700! The T2 still will not be as sexy as the 9700!

the 9700 looks a little sleeker,.
No A LOT sleeker! I wish they made the T2 as small as the 9700. I'll wait and see if I like it, at least it won't have the faulty trackball! I still wish verizon offered the 9700 and the iphone!
And the iphone is rumored to be out in July, but nothing is really confirmed yet. Im a little worried about verizons data speeds if they get the iphone. It could bring the "network" to a crawl.

It seems that every BlackBerry-lover on the Internets is making a big deal over this AWS spectrum-equipped BlackBerry 9100, and while it’s great to have confirmation that the unit is hitting T-Mobile (and maybe even visiting our Canadian friends at WIND, too), all in all, it doesn’t really mean much. Here’s why:
Enter the BlackBerry 9700. RIM has done something incredibly smart. They’ve been using identical hardware for every single BlackBerry 9700, regardless of the carrier it is intended for. Let’s revisit that… RIM has used the same exact hardware for AT&T, T-Mobile, Vodafone, WIND, Rogers, TIM — whatever. How could this be...

This article is mistaken and misunderstands the technicalities of a cell phone.
The thing RIM is changing is the amplifier and the duplexer. The duplexer allows the phone to transmit and receive at the same time, and the power amp amplifies the signal. Both of these utilize tuned resonant circuits, and can basically handle one band only. They are the most expensive parts of the radio.
As an example, RIM uses Anadigics for the UMTS PA. If each phone could support all the bands, they would have to install 4 power amplifiers and 5 duplexers, 2 of would be wasted, and would add about $20-30 in useless parts to each phone. They would also hav...
