Customer interactions seem to be going better lately...

Customers are saying please and thank you more, they are asking for upgrades instead of demanding one or saying we owe them one, and they are more apologetic about getting behind on their bills.

Maybe it's because the holidays are over! lol

Whatever it is, I appreciate it! And I hope other employees are seeing the same thing.

The economy is tight now. The old threat of going to AT&T does not work anymore. Verizon is getting tougher on some issues and should continue to tighten their belts. This will stop all of the sense of entitlement that you get from customers. They leave and come right back because they see how good it was with VZW. They complain about "certified like new" replacements, but no other carrier gives you that option in their stores. So some customers are starting to be more appreciative of what they have......it could be worse.

Well, with our online sales department they are only getting worse. However, the threat of leaving needs to be addressed... like.. if you call in and threaten to leave if you don't get your way we add a fee, or something. It's just stupid how no one stands up to customers.

online will get worse because more people are going to try and find ways to cut corners to save costs.

It is apparently a law of customers or something that the further removed from a person they are, the more they feel it is alright to treat them like dirt.

Now that store employees arn't bending to demands like they used to (because every little bit counts) they need to find an "easier" salesperson to deal with, which they think online will be.

Stay tough.
