Adding a line - $9.99 ???

I have a question. About a year or so ago, I was looking into adding my wife to my individual plan. At the time, it was $9.99 (or $10) to add an additional line to the plan. Anyway, I went to their site today to look into it again, and I see nothing about that. It looks like for me to go from my $39.99 plan to adding her would up the cost to $69.99. That's an additional $30 a month compared to that extra $10. Sure, it comes with a ton of extra minutes, but they are not needed in our case. I plan on visiting a verizon store, but I wanted to see if anyone on here knew if that plan still existed or is $69.99 the cheapest you can get two lines?

Thanks

you must first go to a family share plan (starting at 69.99). This has always been the case, except on business accounts. The old wording was a little confusing if you didnt read all the fine print attached, but you need to go to a family share plan to share minutes. The only other option is to add your wife as another primary, which will end up costing you more money.

That is a loyalty plan, and not one that you can traditionally sign up for in stores.

He wouldn't technically be a new customer. I've seen add-a-lines that were done on a 550-min plan, although I'm not sure as to whether or not it's done in stores.

I added a secondary line to a 550 minute plan just yesterday, BUT what people are saying about the primary is correct, at least in my area.

Customers currently on the 550 loyalty plan can add new lines of service to that plan, but cannot change TO the plan from something else. We stopped doing loyalty plans when the 65+ plan and standardized bonus minute allotments came into effect about a year ago.

The 550 family share plan IS NOT AN OPTION unless you ALREADY TOOK THAT OPTION. If your area is different, that's awesome, but you can't necessarily answer a question on this board if the person asking for help lives in an area that doesn't offer that loyalty program.

Verizon's been working on national standards for years because of ...
