NEW CUSTOMER - MAYBE A LG DARE ISSUE?

WHATEVERWORKS

I am a new customer. I have the lg dare. I was just wondering if the LG DARE is as good as any other phone for pulling in signal, I live in a garden apartment, and just left us cellular.

I noticed in general that Us Cellular got a better signal on MOTOROLA and BLACKBERRY but NOT LG. Is this the case with Verizon As Well. Because I'm really not that impressed with the signal quality of the dare, it will be sitting in one spot and go from EV 1x. TO 1x only to 4 bars EV and 1 bar 1x. back to just 1x.

Would the voyager be better?

Would the storm be better?

Would the SAGA be better?

I am trying to get a REALLY nice phone from the beggining, because I am an avid phone switcher lol and as money is tight, I would like to avoid th...

voyager should be about the same as the dare.

storm and saga are not out yet, so who knows about them?

I guess wait as long as you can in your 30 days wait for them to come out and when they get reviewed most reviews will tell you about the signal quality.

I have never heard that. What features are you looking for in a phone? what will you use?

Just my 2 cents, but I have never been an LG fan. Moto to me is the best for reception but the worst for battery life, BBs are good but again simply because of all they do, the battery life can be hit or miss. LG never impresses, but again, that's just my opinion. Most people I know who have the Voyager LOVE it. If you want "a nice phone from the beginning" you probably want the Storm.

I really dig my LG. Where I live I get excellent signal but in weaker signal areas I think Motorola shines through.
If you want touch-screen, check out the Moto Krave. If you just want something with features but not big on price, look into the w755 by Moto as well.
My mom just went from an old Samsung to the w755 and she's in a weak signal area and it does a lot better for her.

On the LG side, my girlfriend also lives in a garden apartment and her LG enV2 does pretty well there, as does my LG 8600, but her's is a bit better.

I think you'll find that everyone has something different to report. The best way to know for sure is to talk to local Verizon customers and see what they think. In my area, the LG devices do fine. In fact, in my area, the LG, Samsung, Motorola, and RIM phones all have pretty much the same signal. The HTC phones are significantly worse. There's really no difference between brands in my area.

And that's the problem. That's MY area. Your area is going to be completely different.

There's no easy answer to this.

Whatever,

In my area (lovely Wyoming) the signals aren't the best because we are rural.

Each phone that I have sold is specific. I have seen 2 of the same model phone pick up signal different. Nature of the beast..

LG and Samsung seems to be better than the rest here. They have better reliability than Motorola or the smaller brands.

I have had LG before and currently carry a Samsung. I have not any worse coverage between the two.

I also have not heard any signal issues with the dare.

Good Luck..

I live in a very low signal area for verizon and so far of all the phones that I have tried the blackberry curve has been the best for pulling in a signal.

Blackberry is pretty notorious for great RF and I have found that to be true for all 3 of the berries that I have used.

Just my 2 cents
