I like to buy phones from corp stores only...they kinda screw ya and play hardball if you dont buy the phone from verizon.

If it is under the manufactures warranty (1 year) and you get it through verizon or an authorized retailer verizon will cover it.

If it us user damage, the only way to get a replacement phone is purchasing one outright (retail on that phone in our store is 330) or if you have insurance, the replacement would only cost 50.

The reason I asked where you would go is that if you buy the phone somewhere other than an authorized dealer, There is very little verizon can do since they didn't sell you the phone. If you get it at an authorized dealer, you can go back to that dealer, or to corporate.

This is why getting something for as cheap as possible is not always the best value in the long run.

Within the first 30 days if the phone has a warranty issue you must deal with the agent. Day 31 thru 365 Verizon will cover any manufacturer defect by replacing with Certified Like New Unit (not brand new unit out of box). Retail will detest your guts, but honestly Verizon corporate could care less which channel you sign up with. They just want your business.
