First off, can people please stop posting if you aren't going to actually give out info...it's annoying and arrogant, and quite frankly, who cares if you have info, if you are not going to tell anyone...good for you, keep it to yourself.

Anyways, I'm excited about Verizon's push to talk service, but my main problem is that all of the PTT phones are fairly basic and unimpressive. On the other hand, sprints phones that are equipped with ready link are all top of the line phones. PTT will not catch on unless high quality handsets are offered, and right now, even with the 4 new PTT phones, i just don't see anything that is really that impressive....call me when the Vx-8000 has a PTT, then maybe I can get excited...thats all I got.

Actually it's a Motorola T300p that is ruggedized. The Kyocera is the KX444. The connect time will be faster than Nextel or Sprint

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Motorola. I actually already have rebate forms for that one. But the Kyocera is ruggedized also. Look it up. The KX444 is the same as the 440.

Faster than Nextel??? This is hard to believe and I'm not a Nextel fan at all. how is Verizon going to do this, I haven't heard of a CDMA based PTT solution that is anywhere near the latency of nextel.

while you guys are playing catch up with nextel and sprint. Alltel is some what up there but we have the problem with phones. Alltel does not come out with any nice top dollar touch to talk phones. Well our connect time is like .02 or more seconds slower then nextel but our volley time is up there with them. Its nice to have a fast volley time rather then a connect time in my opinion. I just like alltel's TTT due to the fact it does more that the others cant do like dont disturb, I can answer incoming calls while on a touch to talk call. You can also answer touch to talk calls while on the phone. Now they will have something like Instant message using the ttt.If a person is on "do not disturb" I can I.M them a voice message telling them to c...
