vzw cancels plans to kill sms delivery acknowledgement

SMS Delivery Acknowledgment Canceled


* VZW will no longer disable the delivery acknowledgement notification for TXT Messages from Verizon Wireless devices to another Verizon Wireless device (In-Network TXT Messaging)
* All remaining markets across the U.S. will be not be disabled
* Effective Oct. 1, phase 1 & 2 markets will be turned back on and resume as normal

Tgoace is correct. VZW will not disable delivery acknowledgement and will turn on the markets that they already disabled.

Its in infoman or one source, whatever you want to call it. I've only seen it be announce in the Northeast area not other because it never impacted other areas

Feedback, maybe. They did have a feedback link in infomanager about that issue. I for one, did do the feedback citing that "customers are freaking out." 😁
