Verizon Question

beyondmygreatness

Aug 13, 2008, 7:33 PM
I currently have AT&T, and love them, but I got a really good job opportunity, and I can't turn it down, in the process I have to move to another area in the state, where AT&T coverage isn't that great, Theres alot of areas there where I didn't get service when I went up there to take a look at apartments, I had no service in any of the apartments I checked, so I'm most definitely have to switch Carriers, Well I've had about every carrier you can name, U.S. Cellular(will NEVER go back to them), Sprint, Virgin Mobile, Verizon.

Well see I had Verizon a few years ago, but from what I've heard they've gotten better, when I had Verizon they were expensive, my bill was always 300 dollars or more. Well I'm moving into an area that gets amazing...

15,000 Text messages, WOW I thought I typed alot.

Anyway, the Nationwide Premium 450 should be fine. It's $79.99 before taxes per month. So no you won't be paying $300 per month lol.

That would cover you for 450 min since you only need between 250-300.

I would cover you for unlimited internet service and you need to Nav as well, plus mobile email

The other nice thing about the Premium and Select Plans is that the unlimited messaging includes text, picture, video, any other messaging service you can think of. In fact, the only way I'd imagine you would pay more is if you went over your minutes. Although it's a rare event, I havn't seen it ever at our store.

Get a 450 minute premium plan. That will include 450 daytime minutes, free n&w, unlimited m2m, unlimited text/pic (to any carrier, unlimited mobile web, mobile email, and navigation.

This plan is 79.99 before taxes and fees. So about 93.50 after taxes give or take a dollar or two either way for tax differences depending on area.

Lots of texts and data, 300 minutes?

Everything 450.

That's not even counting the best part - No verizon UI!

Seriously, if coverage is your only issue, Sprint and Verizon roam off each other.

he doesnt want to go to sprint didnt you read his post? wow you guys are desperate.

sprint has a terrible network and even worse customer service and technical support. Yes they can roam off verizon in some areas but if you roam more then 50% of your minutes they cancel you out

did I mention their billing, customer service, and network sucks?

thanks for the suggestions. go sign up people at your store dont post on the VZW forum when people ask about vzw.

it's called MSN and AIM. Definitely possible.

I guess when you put it that way, yeah it is possible. I myself don't use any of the messenger services, I don't even have an AIM, Yahoo or MSN account. So that's why I forgot about that. Makes a good argument.

Out of curiosity, I calculated 15,000 messages into an average 30-day month, then divided that by an 8-hour day (8 for sleep, 8 for work, 8 for texting!), and I got 62 messages per hour.

Even with conservative numbers of a 12-hour day to spend texting, that comes out over 41 texts per hour.

WOW!!!

I fully understand, especially on micro keyboards. I see people in here and in other forums who shorten words as well.

One of my favorites is "prolly" instead of "probably." I actually had someone SAY "prolly" to me. He thought it was a real word. I barely contained my laughter. I dread thinking what some of the kids these days will have on their rèsumès. Many HR directors will trash a rèsumè that has a single error.

There is hope!

Hang in there...and don't take your youth for granted. Enjoy things, such as your hair, your thin waistline, your uh, uh, uh, uh, memory, yes, that's it, your memory!

Gad, I hate getting old.

Gregg

P.S. It should read "we" kids are getting smarter.

not to be a jerk but if your bill is $300 then it is your fault for not changing your plan or signing up for something that covered you.

If you use the internet a lot I would suggest a blackberry.

450 minute select plan with unlimited messaging
$59.99
Blackberry web/email
$30

You will come in just under $100 after taxes and you will have better internet experience and battery life on a blackberry then you will get on most phones.

This is what I'd suggest as well. A better device, a more stable platform, better web experience...
